Saad parked his car and stayed in. It's too hot today and hasn't rained in so long. He is here to pick Maheer. She's picking some clothes that she had planned on wearing on the day she gets married to Areeb.
They came to the conclusion that Maheer is better off with Areeb. She has never smiled after their marriage and Saad cannot take it anymore. The girl who used to be so cheerful deserves to smile forever and as far as he is concerned, he can stay alone forever. After which Saad filed for their divorce.

When Saad was thinking of all these, Maheer knocks on the window and tells him to unlock the car. Just when she was about to enter she receives Areeb's call.

AREEB
Maheer! Where are you? I have been trying for so long.

MAHEER
I am picking my clothes from the tailor, Areeb. Why have you been calling me?

AREEB
So, I can pick you up myself. Stay where you are, I am coming.

Before Maheer can even speak further, Areeb cuts the call.

MAHEER
Saad! Areeb is calling. Would you mind if I go?

SAAD
Of course not. Go ahead. I have some work too so it's better this way.

As usual, Saad makes an excuse to relax her.
Saad starts the car and heads towards home. He actually had nothing to do so he decided to go back and sleep for some time but as he started driving, he felt like going to the park. He has started doing this for the last couple of days. He goes to the park anytime he feels restless and looks at the children. It soothes his chaotic mind seeing children play.
Will he ever have a child? he often thinks to himself. Ever since his father died, he often thinks of the bond between children and parents and wonders if he will ever have such a bond if he ever had a child.

"What am I even thinking?! I don't even plan to get married again and here I am thinking of children. If it wasn't Maheer then it would be no one!" Saad kind of scolds himself for thinking impossible things.

He parks the car and gets out. It's only 2 pm and it's too sunny today hence there aren't many people in the park.

To Saad's utmost surprise a girl all decked up as a bride is sitting on one of those benches lowering her head. As hot as it is today, her wedding attire looked so heavy that even Saad felt hot seeing her. As he was still in the back he did not see her face. He slowly walks towards her, initially planning on sitting on the next bench to the bench she was sitting on.
Saad isn't a curious person but he felt extremely curious. He had this strong urge to see her face. There weren't that many people in the park yet those who were, were staring at her non-stop.

Saad quietly sits on the bench next to her. She had her head lowered so he couldn't yet see her face but now that he sat beside her, he saw her.

This is so weird how he used to think Maheer was the most beautiful girl in this world but for sure he hasn't seen a more beautiful girl than her. Saad never spoke to girls out of nowhere like this but God! He couldn't control speaking up.

SAAD
Are you okay?

THE GIRL
(Quick to her response) Does it look like I am not?

Her response shocked him. Seeing Maheer cry non-stop 24/7 had him thought all girls would cry especially in such a moment but this girl looked like she wasn't even bothered.

THE GIRL
Don't tell me you think I have been ditched by my man. Do you?

Saad gets startled at this. It took him a whole minute to speak again.

SAAD
No! I... I was... I was just.. as..ki..ng.

THE GIRL
(Smiling) Relax! Was pulling your leg.
