Qually gives the two boys free ice cream to try, only for the dessert to end up tasting too spicy (due to the ) and salty (due to the Crystal Salt), causing them to stick with traditional chocolate ice cream instead. Qually reveals that he made the ice cream (which unfortunately didn't suit Gopal and BoBoiBoy's taste buds) inspired by , one of BoBoiBoy's . He eagerly asks the Elemental Hero what other fusion forms he has in his arsenal, which lists down. Gopal is displeased with BoBoiBoy's frequent usage of FrostFire, but before they can continue on with their banter, calls the trio to . BoBoiBoy waves goodbye to his grandfather, which is followed by the old man coughing.

Koko Ci calls on BoBoiBoy, Gopal, and Qually to investigate a strange signal from an unknown source. Qually points out that the trio cannot proceed with their mission without a spaceship, and that his spaceship, while available, is too tiny to fit all of them. Gopal suggests 's, but Koko Ci informs the group that he is unavailable, and instead lends them his spaceship. While there, the trio make fun of the commander's spaceship, and Ochobot creates turbulence trying to get used to the controls. Seeing they might not get very far, BoBoiBoy asks Ochobot to use his , which the robot agrees.

The group arrives at , where all systems are completely down, including light, oxygen, and gravity. Qually hands his friends a spacesuit to allow them to proceed. The trio adhere to one another as they navigate Planet Machina. A scared Gopal, after being reassured by BoBoiBoy, activates Jo Bot, a customer service robot. BoBoiBoy explains to Jo Bot their mission to investigate an unknown distress signal. When Jo Bot fails to answer his inquiries, he and Gopal become suspicious. Qually rushes to help by pretending to be interested in one of Jo Bot's robots in order to persuade him to restart the generators. As the group continues to navigate the dark place, another robot warns them to leave before a monster finds them. Jo Bot reassures them that the planet has high-end security. Gopal and Qually briefly start trembling in fear, as BoBoiBoy attempts to keep them focused on the mission.

At Nubot's control room, Ochobot fixes the backup generators, allowing air and a limited amount of power inside the factory to enter. Unfortunately, the group is attacked by a robot-eating monster soon after. In the ensuing squabble, Jo Bot gets eaten, forcing the group on a heated chase. As the monster prepares to sneak-attack Ochobot, BoBoiBoy transforms into and engages it while telling Ochobot to hide. Gopal tries to turn the monster into a cookie but fails and runs away. Offscreen, Thunderstorm transforms into and summons his to protect the group, as Qually attempts to defend himself. During the battle, Jo Bot is rescued and the monster is partially dismantled. The robot-eating monster reveals inside, having been ingested and absorbed to make itself more powerful. Due to the threat, BoBoiBoy prepares to use FrostFire, only to get called out on it by Gopal. He then decides to fuse Quake and Thunderstorm, debuting a new form, Gentar.

Unfortunately, Gentar is powerless, with Gopal musing that he should've used FrostFire instead. There, a mysterious figure saves the group, bailing them out of danger in the nick of time. The figure is revealed to be , who himself was responsible for the distress signal to TAPOPS-U after Probe has been captured.
