Despite the fact that the outlet was under Lisa's ownership, Jennie did not like to simply take advantage of others. As such, Jennie insisted on not signing the contract from the beginning.
Lisa naturally refused to compromise her. He said in a manner that made it sound like a simple issue, "Yours is mine, and mine is yours". And with that, he successfully made Jennie accept the outlet.
Jennie was rendered speechless when she looked at Lisa's matter-of-factly demeanor. She did not know whether she should laugh or cry as she accepted the outlet that was worth a significant amount of money.
No matter what, the outlet issue was settled in the midst of their lovey-dovey conversation. The staff at the pastry outlet was very happy when they learned that their shop was about to expand. This was especially so when Jennie promised to give them ten days off during the outlet renovation period. On top of that... it was a paid leave!
Jennie enlisted the help of Woo-hee to take note of the pastry outlet issue. As such, the fact that Lisa was the true owner of the two outlets was no longer hidden from her.
Woo-hee was a cool and stoic person. When she learned of this issue, she merely gave the couple a sly look and did not ask them any questions.
However, speaking of which, Jennie was more concerned about another issue.
"Woo-hee, did Nam Joo-hyuk come over and look for you recently?"
"Mr. Nam?"
Ever since Nam Joo-hyuk had coincidentally saved Woo-hee and Suzy from Xie Yuqing, Woo-hee no longer had a very poor impression of Nam Joo-hyuk like she had of him in the beginning.
However, Woo-hee reacted slowly in certain areas. Therefore, she was puzzled upon facing Jennie's question. "Why does he have to come here? Suzy has already moved over to Minho's place. Even if Mr. Nam wants to look for them, he couldn't possibly come over here, right?"
Jennie fell speechless.
Woo-hee frowned as she was saying this. She seemed like she was pondering over something. "However, speaking of which, I used to bump into Mr. Nam several times before whenever I went out."
"Run into Nam Joo-hyuk? Where?"
Woo-hee gave a puzzled look at Jennie. She thought it strange as to why Jennie would ask her this type of question. Still, Woo-hee answered Jennie truthfully, "At the supermarket, on the way to work, and sometimes at the wet market as well..."
When Woo-hee was saying this, she mumbled to herself, "Generally speaking, would young masters from great families appear in places like this? It's okay if I ran into him on the way from work. However, as for supermarkets and wet markets... Urm... I think it's weird for Mr. Nam to go to the wet market. Would you normally go to the wet market to buy ingredients on your own?"
Jennie smiled embarrassedly, "I've never been there before because of my working hours. I usually get back from work very late. By the time I buy the ingredients and prepare the meal, I suppose my family has already starved to death."
'Nam Joo-hyuk does not go there to buy ingredients. Obviously, he goes there to court Woo-hee! Besides, judging by Woo-hee's look, it's clear that she hasn't noticed it at all.' As a result, Jennie did not know how to voice out her thoughts which she had prepared earlier.
What would happen if she said something incorrectly? Instead of reminding Woo-hee to be cautious of him, she may, in turn, jolt Woo-hee out of her stupor. And she would have undoubtedly done Nam Joo-hyuk a favor. This could even save Nam Joo-hyuk from confessing to Woo-hee. If that happened, she would certainly regret herself.
Speaking of Nam Joo-hyuk, was he not notoriously known for his flirtatious behavior? Why, after all this time, had he still not courted Woo-hee? Instead, he was acting like a stalker, frequently following her. As such, Jennie thought that Nam Joo-hyuk actually... sucked.
Did Woo-hee really have to be wary of this kind of person?
At the same time, inside one of the gorgeous apartment units far away in the outskirts of the city, Young Master of the Nam family, who had been rushing work overnight, had just woken up from his bed and felt a sense of chill down his spine. His body unwittingly shivered.
"That's weird. It's not winter yet. Why do I suddenly feel so cold? Could it be that my uncle is nagging me?" Nam Joo-hyuk wrapped his hand around his chest and rubbed his arms, which were covered in goosebumps. "Well, forget about it. I should go see which way Woo-hee is going to go home today. Then, I would have a pleasant encounter with her. Next, I would ask her out for dinner, and we... Hehehe!"
Nam Joo-hyuk was enthralled by his own fantasy. He happily slipped into his slippers and went to the shower room.
Woo-hee, on the other hand, had no idea about Jennie's dilemma at that moment. She stroked her chin and looked like she was deep in thought. "That's how it is..."
When Jennie saw this, she faked a cough and gave a faint smile, "A-A-Actually, it might not necessarily be so. Some people are not used to eating outside food, or they could be picky eaters and dislike eating food prepared by others. As such, they prefer to buy ingredients and prepare on their own."
It was only then when Woo-hee came to an understanding. She gave a nod and said, "Makes sense."
Jennie breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at Woo-hee's mentally retarded appearance while silently praying for Nam Joo-hyuk.
This time, Su Gyeom's injury was more severe compared to the last two times when Jennie had beaten him up. As a result, it was unlikely for him to return to Kim Enterprise in a short period of time.
Jennie was a little disappointed that Su Gyeom was not able to persevere to annoy Minchul. At the same time, she was not in the mood to be bothered about Minchul. This was because... Irene and Seulgi's wedding was just around the corner.
Based on Seulgi and Irene's current situation, their wedding was considered a marriage that occurred shortly after they met. Although they were acquainted with each other in the past, they had only confirmed their relationship in the last two months. Besides, Irene was already six months pregnant!
Originally, Jennie thought that his wedding with Lisa was strange enough. Never had she thought that others were even more outrageous than theirs, or to put it in another way, more aggressive than they were. Seulgi and Irene's relationship was taking several steps back.
Irene naturally invited Suzy and Minho because of Jennie.
Half a month before the wedding, Jennie had received Irene's call. She had asked Jennie and Solar to go over to his place so that they could give some opinions about her wedding gowns on her wedding day, as well as had them try on some bridesmaids' gowns.
Although Irene was the young lady of the Park family, she had been kept inside the house from her childhood. Even when she studied abroad, she had been closely protected. Basically, she did not have any friends. As such, Rosé, Jennie and Solar were the natural choices for her bridesmaids...
Today, Jennie had made an appointment with Suzy and was preparing to take Solar to the Park family's villa to try on the gowns. little did she know that the moment she stepped out of Kim Enterprise, she would run into her nemesis.
"Jennie, why are you going out in such a hurry? Where are you rushing to?" Jennie was greeted by the sight of Minchul's grinning face.
Jennie paused mid-stride. "I need to go out for some business. Chief Kim, why are you here? Did you just arrive or..."
Jennie smiled faintly. "I just sent off an important client."
"Oh?" Jennie raised one of her eyebrows and said teasingly, "Chief Kim, he must be a VIP for you to personally humble yourself and send him off."
Minchul's expression changed slightly.. Just when he was about to say something, he heard an abrupt scream from behind, "Jennie..."
