Chapter Nine: Crayon contract
—————————————————————Nora partly listened to the conversation between her sister and Elena. One of her ear buds was in as her eyes looked around the school grounds.
"Nora can you believe this?" Elena asks turning towards the shorter girl.
"Believe what?" Nora questions, taking her earbud out.
"That Bonnie, the same girl who was telling me to go for it is now telling me to take it slow with Stefan."
"I just mean, you're single for the first time in your entire high-school career, it's the perfect time to play the field." Bonnie says.
Elena laughs. "Oh, because I'm so that girl. Seriously what are you not saying?"
"It's stupid." Bonnie dismisses.
Elena stops walking to pull Bonnie aside. "Whatever it is, it's not stupid." She assures. "Bonnie, spit it out." Elena urges.
"I accidentally touched Stefan and I got a really bad feeling." Bonnie confesses.
Nora freezes in her spot, when she had touched Stefan the other night she also got a bad feeling. Could it be a coincidence? She asks herself. She just thought it was because she was drunk and her mind was playing tricks on her again. But now knowing her sister had been through it too, put all of her Grams words into perspective. Could she really be a witch? To Nora witches were old hags In stories to scare children, they were the Sanderson sisters in the iconic movie Hocus Pocus, they were myths and false prospects that came out of her Grams mouth whenever the elder lady was drunk. She never considered the possibility that they could actually be real.
"Is that it? Bonnie?"
Bonnie leans closer in. "It was bad, bad." She whispers.
"Is this the whole witch mojo thing again?" Elena asks.
"You know what? I'm just concerned. This is me expressing concern about my best friends new boyfriend." Bonnie brushes the whole witch conspiracy thing off, Nora couldn't let it go though.
She had so many questions and there was only one person who could answer them for her. Her Grams.
