Chapter 3

----Third Person POV -----

After recruiting Juugo , Sasuke led his team inland , Suigetsu walked beside Sasuke " so who's our last team member ?, do we know them ?"

" Xiao Hayashi " Sasuke answered nonchalantly, Suigetsu's eye's widened " the forefathers of jutsu ? How do you even know a Hayashi?!"

The group stopped walking as Sasuke looked back at them " from the past , He'll join , Im sure of it " . Karin frowned and crossed her arms , she , just like the rest of team Taka , have heard the historical stories of the clan that is now speculated to be extinct and is concerned that Xiao might just be a disappointment for Sasuke , if he was even alive.

Sasuke led his team to a large extravagant building , with a large garden which was closed off with tall walls . Only a few trees peaked over the wall , most of the garden and its continents were hidden by the wall . Suigetsu sighed " so , are we knocking on the front door or something ?"

Just then , one of the trees began to grow in size , far extending the hight of the wall . Sasuke narrowed his eyes as he noticed a familiar face " thats him " , Suigetsu frowned and noticed a lean built person climb the tree , dressed in a white vest and black pants with a blue sash tied to the waist of the pants . The person climbed to the very top and sat down , closing his eyes as the wind blew through his hair . A small soft smile graced his features as he sat at the very top of the tree .

" woah Sasuke arent you jealous? This guy is prettier than you " Suigetsu commented teasingly, Karin got defensive immediately " oh please , you think someone could ever rival Sasuke in visuals?"

Suigetsu smirked with a shrug , the group watched as Xiao opened his eyes and looked at the world , he looked beside him to see a nest with three baby birds who are trying to fly , two of them get it right but the third looses balance and falls off . Xiao sprung into action and caught the bird , floating mid air .Juugo's shoulders immediately relaxed when he saw this gesture by Xiao , Xiao smiled at the bird and placed in back into the nest , he then fliped in the air and nose dived to the ground and landed with ease as the large tree reverted back .

Karl came rushing out , his hair now grey " Master Xiao ! What are you doing ?! If someone had seen you --" Xiao rolled his eyes and ignored Karl as he walked inside , Karl trailed behind him still complaining. Sasuke stood from his crouching position " lets go " he made his way to the front doors of the building with his team following " so we are knocking then ?" Suigetsu asked .

Xiao POV----

" honestly Xiao , you've become even more reckless , if that were possible "

With a frustrated huff I turned to face Karl fully " are you done ? " .

" you act like this is just some sort of game , this is your life and the more you show off , the bigger the dangers are " Karl almost cried with concern , I sighed " its my life , I'll face the consequences of my own actions . Im done " I stated as I walked to my room and prepared a backpack .

Karl panicked " what are you doing?!"

" isnt it obvious? Im leaving " I closed the bag and threw it onto my back and walked to the front doors , Karl chased after me " I have dedicated my life to protect you and teach you , you ungrateful spoiled brat . How could you leave after everything I've done for you ?!"

" sure , who was gaining wealth using my name , who was in control of everyone elses lives , who was deciding who could be executed for denying your advances , who wanted to marry me off for more profit ? I saw everything you've done . Now Im done "

I pulled the door open and came face to face with four people, Karl also halted behind me . The one in the centre looked vaguely familiar, his onyx eyes shifted from Karl , to my backpack , to my eyes .

Things clicked when his expression never changed " Sasuke ?"

The white haired guy was surprised " this is Xiao ?" , the girl with red hair crossed her arms and huffed " hm , he doesnt seem all that great , I sense nothing from him "

I frowned , this girl is so rude all of a sudden " I could say the same about you , you carry a bitch scowl so easily , I would assume you were born with it"

She glared daggers at me while the white haired boy tried to stiffle a laugh , Sasuke ignored them " Xiao , Come with me "

" okay "

The three behind Sasuke looked surprised but Sasuke didnt , He turned around " alright , lets go " the white haired guy quickly stepped infront of us " wait just like that ? No question, no demands , nothing ?"

" you see the backpack dont you ? I was planning on leaving anyways " I stated . And followed Sasuke , I heard the white guy commented " he's just like sasuke "

The girl then hissed " he is nothing like Sasuke " I looked back at the girl and smirked, " I really get under your skin for just existing dont I ? "

She didnt answer but her glare was obvious. I didnt know why Sasuke wantes me to join him and I didnt care , all I knew was that I was free .
