The Adventure To The Great Lakes

The Starting point.

(Quick Backstory Before You Start Reading!!  Helen has no mother because her mother set off to find a mystical gem and never came back from her journey and has been gone for 6 years. And her grandmother is taking care of her. {End of backstory have fun reading!}

It was 7:30pm at night, It was dark out, Helen was out watching the midnight sunset go down listening to the wind blow in her ears, Picking as many dandelions as she could possibly find for her grandmother.
   "I should go back inside now, I think I have enough dandelions? Helen questioned looking at the dandelions in her hands. "Well a few more wouldn't hurt right?      Helen picked up another 10 dandelions and then went back inside.
   Helen opened the door with a smile on her face, seeing that her grandma was making her favorite dinner, Spaghetti and meatballs. "Wow!" Helen said going straight into the kitchen.
"Your making my favorite!" Shouted Helen.
  "Well I thought we could have spaghetti tonight since I wanted to surprise you with something nice." Said her grandmother smiling at her. "Oh that reminded me, I got something for you!" Helen quickly put her hand up filled with dandelions. "Ohh..how sweet of you, thank you dear. "Helen smiled and walked over to the table to sit down. "Grandma?" "Yes Helen? "Is there anything that you have planned tomorrow? "No, why? "No reason", I just wanted to know." Helen said looking out the window. I just wanted to know if you wanted to play a game tomorrow. Said Helen.
"Sure," we can play a game tomorrow after I get all the chores done." Ok," Helen said still staring out the window. "Foods done!" Helens grandmother said getting a plate. "Helen quickly turned her head to her grandmother coming toward her with the plate of spaghetti in her hand." Her grandmother put the plate down on the table along with a fork and napkin. "This is going to taste so good!" Helen said picking up her fork. "Let it cool for a couple minutes or you will burn your tongue." Her grandmother said. But without hearing what her grandmother said. She forked up a piece of spaghetti without hesitation, and ate it.
"Ow! It's hot!" Ow ow!"
Helen quickly spat out the piece of spaghetti. "I told you to let it cool. Her grandmother said glaring with her hands on her hips.
"Helen stared at the spaghetti and waited for 3 minutes straight then ate the spaghetti. "You all finished?" Helens grandmother asked. "All done!" Helen said bringing her plate to the sink. "Alright now you go brush your teeth and get to bed." Alright grandma." Helen replied.

2 minutes later.
*Yawn. It's been to long of a day today. Said Helen. "I guess I should go to bed now." But wait, Wasn't there supposed to be fireworks tonight? Helen thought to herself. I can watch the fireworks! Helen shouted excitedly.

    "That's the end of this chapter. It was pretty short but I will be adding on to the next chapter soon, I'm really filled up with homework rn so hope you enjoyed the first chapter! 👋👋👋
