Akali's POV (a few minutes later):
Finding a plain, green sports tee took Akali longer than anticipated. But finally, after a few minutes of searching, she had the seemingly elusive piece in her hands. With that point scratched from the plan, she ran off her room, putting on the said tee in the meantime. Hopefully, she would not upset her bandmate this time, but it remained to be seen.
The blonde-haired woman met Rex halfway to the kitchen. Initially, the puppy was lying down, observing his surroundings. But, as soon as the lively rapper showed up, there was no better decision to be made but to follow her. After all, youth was all about playing and discovering.
Nonetheless, both of them stormed into the kitchen, causing Kai'sa to chuckle. Undoubtedly, the dreamer found the whole situation either amusing or adorable. Yet, the laughter quite quickly died out, drifting into nothingness, which Akali found rather surprising.
"Something happened?" the blonde momentarily asked, slightly struggling to stabilise her breathing.
"Kali! What I've asked you for?" the lead dancer responded with her own question. But her control over her tone was worse than anticipated, as it sounded slightly squeamish.
"I might not know what you are referring to. Some hints, pretty, please?" the rapper asked, adorably mimicking.
"The tee, Kali. The damned tee," the raven-haired woman responded, hand covering her eyes. "Can you put on something that isn't tight or exposing? I'd be grateful for that," she added.
"Oh...," Akali murmured. "My bad," she added after a long pause. "Please, give me a moment. I will go and change into something baggy, Mum," she wanted to make the situation somewhat lighter with a joke. However, as she glanced at her friend and saw the blush, she knew it did not work out.
"KALI!" Bookie whined.
"I am sorry," the blonde-haired woman ran off, apologising. "Scratch that; I am not sorry," she shouted a moment later.
...
Kai'sa POV (the same time):
"Why do I like when Akali calls me mommy? Is it already a kink? Am I into kink?" questions like these flooded Bookie's mind. It would not have been exactly an overreaction if she had said that something had changed since the rapper's return. And... to some extent, she could not reason why. Nonetheless, once she heard the blonde leaving the kitchen, she uncovered her eyes, yet it was not much progress. That standstill would have most likely continued if not for Rex's intervention.
As the tiny puppy was not exactly patient, he started to bark, seeking to regain the centre of attention. At the very least, it was a sound strategy in Kai'sa's case. Nearly momentarily, the lead dancer came back to reality, focusing on the tiny furball.
"Oh... are you hungry?" she asked after a moment of hesitation. "Hmm... it isn't going to work," she murmured when the dog simply turned his head to the side, not understanding what the woman wanted from him.
Kai'sa sighed, somewhat embarrassed by the stupidity of her question. Of course, the puppy did not understand what she meant. Learning some keywords would take him some time. So... logistically thinking, it could not have happened overnight.
The dancer allowed herself to sigh one more time before turning around. The raven-haired woman looked for the remnants of the dog food Akali had brought. Or... at least, she hoped there was any of it left.
It took the lead dancer a minute to finally locate the bag containing the puppy's food. Once she opened it, she got pleasantly surprised as there was an intact can and more-or-less half bag of dry food. With far more at her hand than anticipated, she immediately filled Rex's bowl generously. Then, the dog started alternatively barking and whining, confirming the woman's speculation.
