Chantal POV

I hissed in pain when she put some ointment in my busted lip, I just stared at her lovingly and gave her a gentle smile

"Stop smiling, you look like an idiot"

She mumbled and I couldn't help but blush when she noticed that, she stopped putting the ointment

"What?"

I asked and she shook her head

"Nothing, it's done... you can go home now-"

I held her hand and I placed it on my chest, her face turned red in embarrassment 

"W-What are you doing!?"

She asked embarrassed, she was about to pull away when

"Can you feel it? My heartbeat, it only beats for you"

I mumbled and we went silent for a while

"Chantal..."

"I would recognize you in total darkness, were you mute and I deaf. I would recognize you in another lifetime entirely, in different bodies, different times. And I would love you in all of this, until the very last star in the sky burnt out into oblivion"

"So please, forgive me"

I smiled and I closed the gap between us, she was shocked for a moment but she eventually closed her eyes and cupped my cheeks

Our lips moves in sync, it was soft, magical, I couldn't explain what I'm feeling right now

I just know I won't be making the same mistake twice, I closed my eyes and deepened the kiss

When I opened my eyes Y/n wasn't in front of me, she was nowhere to be found and I panicked

I'm in the office. Why am I in the office?

Tears streamed down my face and I immediately stood up to find a mirror to see the adult me

The door suddenly opened revealing Y/n with her lunch boxes

"Hon? I thought you have a meeting? Why are you here-"

I cut her off by engulfing her in a tight hug, I broke down when she dropped the lunch boxes and hugged me

"Hey, what's wrong?"

She asked and I immediately pulled her towards the sofa and made her sit on my lap

"What's wrong with you? You're acting weird"

She giggled when I nuzzle my face on her neck, she cupped my cheeks and placed a soft kiss on my lips

"I love you, Chantal"

She mumbled and I cried once again and gave her a quick kiss

She smiled as soon as she heard that words

"You said the exact words when we were teenagers, I love you, Honey"

She gave me kisses on my face and I couldn't help but to smile widely

"I love you too, so please Y/n... marry me, I want to spend my life with you"

I mumbled and she stared at me shocked, she then laughed and hugged my neck and I caressed her back gently

"You already know the answer Hon... I also wanna spend my life with you"

She gave me a gentle smile and I couldn't help but admire her

"I do, Chantal"
