Chapter 21 Awkward Shopping

Luz's POV

I walked into the store Amity by my side... OH MY GOD.. She just crashed into a car..Im so so so getting sued...

I whined while Amity nudged my side.
''Hey..Come on- We are inside now..What are we looking for?'' She asked while looking around the store.

What are we looking for? A cart right now OBVIOUSLY.

''A cart'' I grumbled, Amity sighed as she grabbed the car pulling it over, the squeaking of the tires were HORRIBLE. ''Well..I made a list,'' I spoke while pulling out my phone as Amity gasped. ''Woww, look at you all on top of things'' she said with a sly voice. I sighed as I pulled up my notes app..No..Not that one..THERE! I pulled up the notes with all the ingredients.

''We need cake mix,'' I announced as I looked up from my phone ''Obviously-'' Amity stated. I rolled my eyes and started walking towards the aisle. Lucky me, the aisle with the cake mix was right in front of us. I walked into the row and scanned the isle...Where's the fairy blood?...

''OH MY GOD!'' somebody yelled like a dying animal.

I spinned around to see what the screaming was about, to my dismay I saw Stella? Why was she screaming? Maybe her star perfume was out of stock.

''Some MONSTER hit my car!'' Stella cried while she hid her face in her palms as she sobbed. ''MY CARS RUINED..'' She screamed again. I saw a store employee walk up to her, setting a hand on Stella's shoulder. ''It's ok ma'am..You can get your car repaired or..Get a new one'' The employee suggested.

Oh no..Oh no no no..

''A NEW one?'' Stella screamed in shock as the employee jumped back. ''THAT CAR WAS A LIBRA!'' Stella informed while she wiped her tears away ''Ma'am...Can we take this somewhere else?'' The employee asked with a scared face while Stella shook her head 'No' ''No we can not! Someone here KILLED my BESTFRIEND'' Stella shouted as she started tearing up again.

''Luz...'' Amity whispered as she ran to me ''Did I hit Stellas car?'' Amity asked with fear, her eyes widening.

I was so confused, I thought about it. Amity hit a car.. When we go inside a couple minutes later Stella comes in and says HER car was hit? Amity hit Stellas car..

My head nodded as Amity started panicking ''Oh my titan Luz..I just..Hit a car..And it was Stellas'' Amity gasped as she fanned herself.

''Ma'am come on..We can go find a manager for the footage..'' The employee suggested again.

People crowded around, Stella was making a scene...

''NO! MY CAR GOT HIT BY ONE OF YOU,'' Stella cried while pointing at the crowd who denied it with 'No' and 'wasn't me!' ''AND ONCE I FIND OUT WHO! I'LL CURSE YOU!'' Stella shouted as she turned around sharply and marched out still sobbing.

I stood there, my feet glued to the ground and watched that whole scene from the aisle. I moved my head to the side to see Amity taking deep breaths while mumbling something I didn't pick up.

Slowly the crowd started leaving chatting about the 'Crazy car girl'

I moved one of my feet and walked to grab the cake mix as Amity followed.

''Well,'' Amity coughed awkwardly as she looked at me ''Stella made quite a scene..'' She whispered, I looked at Amity with cold eyes.

Sure this wasn't her fault but im just so done with today.

Me and Amity walked through the store in silence only talking about what flavor of icing to get, of course we got vanilla. We walked to the register as the cashier scanned our stuff, I zoned out as I heard the two ladies talking about the scene.

''That girl was crazy!'' One of them said as the other nodded ''I know right! She must have really loved that car.'' The girls broke out into a fit of laughter.

I rolled my eyes, can people STOP talking about that? Stella was just upset, ok?

Me and Amity paid as we walked out to the car, I watched as Amity looked at the car we hit, it was still there, she cringed and opened the passenger seat door and got in.

I drove back, of course, I wasnt gonna let Amity hit another car.

''Wanna stay another night? To make the cake..?'' I asked awkwardly as Amity nodded ''Sure.'' She responded with a dry voice.

DING

I pulled out my phone and kept one hand on the wheel as I glanced down at my phone, unlocking it and pulling up the notification

Stella<3
Hey my star! Can you come pick me up..Im at the store..My car got hit, can you please come and get me?
Pretty please?

I sighed, as I used one hand to type looking back at the road.

Me
Yea of course give me like 10 mins?

I looked back at my phone to send it as I quickly got a response.

I shut off my phone and drove back to my house. I stopped as Amity got out the car.

''You coming?'' She asked while grabbing the bags.

''Yea just..I,'' I paused ''Have to go make sure my mom locked up the animal clinic she thinks she forgot'' I said while leaning agenst the wheel.
''Oh..Want me to put the stuff away then?'' She asked.
''Yea.'' I grumbled as Amity nodded and shut the door.
''Bye..'' She quickly said before walking into the house.

I pulled out of the driveway and drove back to the store, I drove around the parking lot till I found Stella. She was sitting on the ground rummaging through her star purse. She looked up at the sudden sound of my car pulling up and smiled.

''HI LUZZY~'' She shrieked while running up to my car and yanking the door open.
''Hey'' I replied as she jumped into the passenger seat and leaned over to me to kiss my cheek.

I couldnt help but to heat up a bit, Stella might have made a scene but I still love her..

''You will never believe what happened!'' Stella announced while she sat back down, I pulled out and started driving out of the parking lot.
''What happened?'' I asked curiously as if I didn't know what happened.
''So first somebody hit my car..'' Stella started.

I zoned out while driving to her house, today was..Ugh just..Exhausting.

''Isnt that crazy Luzzy!'' Stella announced as she twisted her head towards me.

''Wow, that's! Wow..'' I exaggerated my gasp as she nodded ''I know ri- Luzzy?'' She cut off mid sentence. ''Yea?'' I asked now curious ''I was actually wondering if..I could go to your house?'' She asked while blinking super fastly, her green eyes wide.

Bring Stella to MY house, that wouldn't be a problem but.. Amity's there right now..

''Stells uh..I can't-'' I started ''WHY NOT!'' Stella whined ''Well uhh..It's dirty..'' I explained ''Oh Luzzy come on.. Nothing can beat how bad your moms cooking was!'' She laughed ''Just let me spend ONE night..'' She added quickly before I could say anything ''Bu-'' ''LUZZY'' ''Fine..'' I gave up.

I drove back as I started thinking..Could I hide Amity? Maybe keep her in a closet! No..She would kill me...Let Stella in the guest room? No, she wants to be with me..

I'm so dead...
