After a while, the room got dark and gloomy as a loud sigh was heard. Namori darted her attention away from Surrender and looked at Roselyn "What's wrong, everything's gotten so...gloomy." Roselyn looked away and said, "It's time to talk about the real reason we are here the "peace" treaty." Jack growled as he mumbled something low and sharp. "Yes, of course, thank you for reminding us ma'am." the man sighed, "Daniel, I assume your daughter is ready." Namori's father chuckled nervously. "Never had time to tell her." the man smiled and said "Yeah, we didn't either." the two teens looked at each other than at the adults. "Oliver, what are they talking about?" Surrender looked up at the boy not far from his age. "You two are getting married!" the mothers said together in excitement as they hugged the two. The two jumped back. "WHAT, YOU ALL ARE CRAZY!!" they said at the same time freaking out. "But it's a great way to be at peace, by a union of the youngest, it's even better that you two are only a year apart!" Namori's mother said smiling. "I just met this chick like...a day or two ago." Surrender said sighing pushing his mother off of him. "And I... well...I'm seen as a flirt at my school...it's the only way I can get social interaction." Namori spatted out not able to come up with a proper excuse. Jack rolled his eyes and said "Yeah, because you can't be nice, ya gotta be a ''Vixen'.'' Namori looked at him and said "Well...I'm too young!" Surrender laughed "How old do you think I am?" Namori backed away from him, "Well not that old, I said it for the both of us!" Surrender's mother clapped her hands and said, "It gets way better darling, seriously!" Roselyn grabbed Namori and growled, "I thought we agreed that we were NOT gonna do that part!" Jack gritted his teeth and said, "You would have to be an idiot Roselyn if you really could trust them!" Roselyn kept her head down hiding the tears forming as she croaked out "yea..." Namori went wide-eyed as she felt a tear fall on her. She looked up and started to tear up grabbing Roselyn tight "don't cry or I will!" Roselyn leaned into her ear and spoke quietly and softly "I'm sorry I tried to stop them from doing this but...you have to go and live with them in America." Namori froze and looked at her family with fear, hurt, and a little bit of anger "Wh-What...you're kidding." Roselyn shook her head. Her mother walked up and hugged her "Think of this as a great way to learn about the American culture and to finally have a taste for freedom. Because we talked it through with them and decided you should have enough freedom like Surrender and your siblings!" Namori looked at Surrender with a hurt expression trying to figure out if he knew. He looked at her with a sad expression and shook his head "I had no idea, I knew as much as you did when we first walked in." he then turned to his parents with an angry look "This is all new to me also." his father looked at him with a tough expression "don't speak with that tone to us, we had a good reason for doing this, and besides...it was your mother's that came up with this idea for a treaty. Her father and I had a better way." the mother's nodded then got a hurt expression as Surrender's mother said to both of them "Please, a new dangerous group is rising. We can't be at war with each other to do this so, we needed a peace treaty that would truly impact both of us if one broke it and would be like a sign of us joining forces."
Namori and Surrender looked at each other and sighed as they both nodded their heads. Namori smiled "For our family and a future of who knows how many, I'll do it." she looked at Surrender and smiled. He smirked and wrapped his arm around her waist "I'm fine with it, I'm not complaining about being with a girl like her, seems fun." the mothers smiled as they both clapped their hands and hugged them both "Oh this is gonna be great, thank you both." Namori's mother said as she hugged her husband and looked at him smiling. Namori walked up to Roselyn and Jack with teary eyes as they hugged each other. "If I can't visit...you better." Roselyn nodded as she smiled holding Namori's face in her hands and wiping the tears.
"Of course. I'll come over so much you'll be sick of me." Jack gently pushed her aside and wrapped his arms around Namori in a tight hug. "I need you to stay strong. And if he ever does something to hurt you, you tell me. I'll kill him." Namori's father let out a gentle chuckle. "She's growing up. Tonight, we will have a party in great celebration of this news. And tomorrow, we say our goodbyes as you all make off to America." everyone smiled as they began to walk off chatting and laughing. As Namori was walking away she realized Surrender wasn't moving. She looked back then looked forward and started walking backward and stopped right beside him. "You don't want this do you?" He shook his head and started walking. "Not really, I've never been in a relationship...well...no real one. They were all users and cheaters." she nodded. "I've never been in a relationship either, no one I've met has ever been into a truly committed relationship."
