She opened her window and stepped out to her balcony. She looked down and counted all the people on guard below. She looked up and threw her bookbag on the roof climbing up on the balcony rail pulling herself up. She grabbed her bag and walked over to the east side of her home. She scanned the ground; the east side was less guarded because the garage was there. on the right side the fence there was three bloodhounds because of the neighbors. She jumped and rolled onto the garage roof to soften the land dropping down the other side of the fence. Namori pulled out three bones and tossed them over to the bowls left out for the dogs causing them to run over and start devouring the bones. She ran, ducking below the windows and jumping over the front gate and into the dark and empty streets of Havana.

She yanked her mask down with a huge grin jumping up and down doing a little dance "I did it!" she pulled up her hood and mask and started running. Namori didn't know what to expect since she went to and from school in a white limo with pitch-black windows. She skipped and hopped admiring the stores, lights, and sounds. After a while, she was walking and came to a large alley on the outskirts of town. Four men stood there, three against one tall, skinny man with brown hair a few inches past his shoulders with medium-light skin and a white ripped up shirt and jeans. "You're outnumbered cracker, we've already got some cuts on you, give up now and run." one of the men said while lighting a cigar and stepping forward with a grin. "Yeah right, like I'm scared of a bunch of idiots." as soon as the boy said that one of the men charged after him but missed as the boy stepped to the side kneeing the man in the gut knocking him down. The boy looked at the man lying on the floor revealing sky blue eyes glowing in the moon's pale light.

"Beautiful." Namori thought, trying to step back but accidentally stepping on a twig causing a loud echoing crack. The two remaining gang members and the boy looked up to see her standing there with her hands up. "Is that boy an idiot, is he trying to die?" Namori looked down, seeing as how her hoodie was hiding her feminine figure and her mask hiding her face. "Heh, leave no evidence." one of the men growled pulling out a switchblade heading to her. "Don't touch him." the boy said as he stood in front of her. "What are you gonna do about it?" just as the man said that four spider-looking legs came out of the boy's back.

Blood was all over the ground with Namori standing there watching as the boy pulled the arms back into his body and said, "go home." Namori shook her head and said "no, you'll need help with your wounds and the bodies." the boy stared wide-eyed "you're a girl?!" Namori pulled off her hoodie showing her braided hair and white shirt hugging her form a little loosely. The boy sighed and grabbed her waist "come on, let's go." Namori's face turned red as she pushed away and said, "let me help you, I'm from the Mariea family, I can help." his hand went through his hair, and he said "really...what's your name?'' She smiled and said "I'm Namori, now will you let me help?" he looked at her with a smile and started to walk off. "Nope, I don't need a kid to help.'' She froze then said, "I'm not a kid, how old are you?" he kept walking and she sped up. "Well, what's your name, I told you mine." he laughed, "well that's your stupid fault to trust me so easily." "w-well...you seemed trustworthy...and I won't stop asking by the way so tell me." "Heh, that's the dumbest thing, trusting a boy you've never met." "Please, there's a chance we could meet again." "Surrender." "What, no why would I?" He turned around causing her to bump into him, he grabbed her around the waist and pulled her a bit closer making her lookup. "My name, it's Surrender, I'm 17." she smiled and said, "it's a pretty name, plus you're just a year older than me." he chuckled and slowly let go so she wouldn't fall walking away "see ya tomorrow, Mariea." he waved then suddenly disappeared. She smiled and pivoted on her heel and started to walk to her house "oh boy, how am I going to get inside the house?" she laughed and looked up at her house. "Maybe I can walk past Danny and just walk into the kitchen and rummage through the fridge like I'm hungry." as soon as she said that she felt her stomach growl. "Heh, perfect timing."
