Oh, hello there, I'm Melfina Gangleri, I'm a wandering Waelkyrige (Valkyrie) for Odin All-High. He, Frigga, and Freya have been treating me like a daughter while I've lived here in Asgard with them. I can't seem to remember my name from my previous life. Oh well, life happens, or in my case, Undeath happens.

I've got 2 new older brothers, Thor and Loki, and both are super annoying, as older brothers can be. I'm sure you read about my prophecy in a previous chapter.

I've spent roughly a hundred years in Asgard learning how to live my new vampiric life. Thor and the Warriors Three with Lady Sif have been teaching me more fighting skills. Loki, Frigga, and Freya have been teaching me about my special vampiric abilities. All of my brothers, Ivan, Ebbe, and Aksel, are in Valhalla now. No, I wasn't the Waelkyrige that gave them the final kiss. Eww, that would have been gross, I mean, they were still my brothers.

If you're wondering, all of my friends are still alive and in wonderful health.

"I think it's about time to head back to Midgard and start looking out for my bloodline and helping the other Waelkyrige," I say as I'm brushing Ivan in the stable, Ericik is laying near by with Frida on the door, and no clue on where my 2 little thieves have gone off to. "I mean, I've got all my gifts and abilities under control, might as well head out. It's not like I can live here forever."

"Why can't you stay Melfina?" I hear the familiar voice ask me. "I'm not doing a very good job of protecting my family from here, now am I?" I ask. "This is true. If you're going to leave soon, though, you might want your two little vermin," Loki says with a laugh, seeing as he's holding the two troublemakers and they're holding his daggers. I sigh, "Let me guess, Ebbe and Aksel are still trying to win the game of 'Let's steal Loki's daggers'?" He laughs, "Of course. They made it to the stable yard before I realized what they had done this time. It was definitely a surprise to find sticks in place of my daggers."

"You two are going to get yourselves into so much trouble. One day, I won't be able to save you," I say, laughing. "Now give back the daggers." *Do we have to?* Aksel asks. *We got them fairly and even traded,* says Ebbe both at the same time. "They say that they traded for your daggers, so those are now theirs," I tell Loki. Who looks down at the two little imps in his hands, "That was the deal I made with you. If you could trade out the daggers without me noticing," he sighs. "Fine, you may keep them." Both Ebbe and Aksel chitter happily, as Loki hands them to me. *We have gifts for you, Mel* Ebbe and Aksel say as they release their hold on the daggers, then hop out of my hands.

Loki sees the daggers still in my hands and starts laughing, "You two know that you could have asked for them. If I had known you were trading to gift them to Melfina, we could have just bypassed this." I sigh, "I'm so sorry Loki." Try to hand them back to him. "No worries, little one," he places his hands over mine and creates sheaths for both of them and magics them to my belt. "It was a great game for them and I. To see who could be more mischievous," he says happily. "Clearly, when you are the recipient of their labors, they can out mischief the God of Mischief."

I start laughing, "I'm just happy that you find humor in their antics." Loki looks at me with a gentle smile "Well little sister, how am I supposed to be? They're almost as mischievous as I."

"You give into them," I say "Hopefully they won't be this bad when we go back to Midgard."

"I'm sure now that they've finished their mission of dagger theft, that they'll behave," he says as he looks towards Ebbe and Aksel, who nod their heads at him.

"Come, Ivan looks magnificent. Your gear for him is in full repair. Father, Mother, Freya, Thor, and I have gifts for you for your new life.

"You all shouldn't have," I say as I put the grooming supplies away. "Of course we should. It's not every day that the Princess of Asgard leaves to go to Midgard," Loki says. "I'm not a real princess, Loki. You know this. I'm just a Waelkyrige," I tell him.
