When the next morning he woke up, Arthur thought he would feel miserable. He was wrong, he felt miserable and betrayed. He still couldn't soak in all that has happened the last day in so few moments. He couldn't wrap his head around all that had happened, all that Katherine did to him. Sarah, waiting eagerly at the tent trying to figure out what had happened, couldn't sleep all night worrying about him. Arthur looks at her for comfort but finds desperation in her eyes. DESPERATION. Desperation for what he wondered. It didn't take long for him to realize she intended an explanation for what had happened earlier. She deserves some filling in, he thought to himself.
Arthur rolls to the side of the bed to face her. But as soon as he is about to unveil the mystery, heavy drums start to fill in the air around them. Arthur for a brief moment is relieved to be accompanied by a distraction in this particular awkward situation as he is still not ready to tell her the truth. Sarah is intrigued by the sound and leaves to inquire about the reason for the signals. The silence takes over as soon as her aroma relinquishes from the tent. Arthur is again left with nothing but a broken heart and the feelings of betrayal that churns in his stomach.
All those moments he spent with Katherine lunged back to his eyes, bringing with them the invertible pain and feelings of being lost. As Arthur is struggling with his willpower to live in this miserable world, Sarah on the other hand is taken aback by the reason of the drums explained to her by another wanderer. Poor creature, now all she can think about is whether to share the news with Arthur or not. She reluctantly imagines every possible scenario in which Arthur would react. She still doesn't know the whole story but is not stupid to intercept some of it through Arthur's response to the Queen's arrival last night. If it were only sudden to the last event, she still would've been believing that Arthur was simply ill, but at least some good came out of her sleeplessness last night. She tried to figure out the problem behind Arthur's behaviour, first practising physically and then storming through everything in her head. But still, the void is too big to be filled with silence. She needed answers to the thousand questions she had in mind as if Arthur would miraculously read her mind and says gently SHOOT!
With the dilemma in her thoughts, she conjured the power and pushed her spirit inside the tent to inform Arthur of the recent developments in the situation. She moves toward him in utter silence while that idiot is still wandering in his head, pondering things that seem impossible to occur. He hoped he would somehow leap the walls of the castle in front of him and march into the quarters where the Queen is and ask her straight why the hell on earth you would do this to me.
Arthur's brilliant plan is interrupted by Sarah as she mumbles some frowning voices while facing Arthur. Is she trying to flirt? Why no one would agree now is the right time for that? Again, poor creature. May God help those who are in love and are desperate. Arthur couldn't decipher such intentions. How the hell he can? It's probably the first time someone is looking at him with desire. By desire, I mean the desire to be admired.
Arthur did have some interactions where women were physically attracted to him that he understood. But this, this was different. He wasn't familiar with this look. His face looked puzzled as he coursed through his life to emancipate an explanation for the look Sarah had in her eyes. He couldn't find any. Sarah befooled by his astonishment, believing him to be in a good mood, broke the news. THE KING IS HERE. Arthur exclaims "Here goes the plan to the gutter". Sarah, not sure what she just heard, demanded an explanation but got a blunt angry look in his eyes. She says again, "Hey did you hear what I just said, the KING is here". Arthur grins and replies why in the name of spirits are you screaming? Sarah now frustrated tries to reconcile her lost pride and says I wasn't screaming I was blushing. The second she said it she realized she made a fool out of herself. Arthur is surprised. He comes up with a simple response, WHAT!
