chapter 2

Lottie and i finish up our walk and head home to say goodbye to her family before they leave for the night. Her little sisters hurdled into my arms smiling as i wish them luck at the nippers comp they have the next day and before we knew it they were off leaving us behind, the 3 sixteen year olds left to man the fort. Lottie and I sat on the cold marble counter top as we argued over ideas of what we are doing tonight "Jack has a fake id ill get him to get us drinks" lottie says "ok yeah but should we invite other people over, its funner getting drunk in a pack ngl" i respond "yep i asked lucy, milly and georgia, but georgias with harry so he will probably come too cause him and jack are mates" she says  as we sit down on the couch and watch dance mums. "what the fuck are you watching your so fucking gay" jack emerges into the living room just a towel wrapped around his waist displaying the definition that coats his tanned skin. The steam still from the shower evaporates off his figure as the nagging sound of lotties voice ruins my moment. "your a fucking nob no chance im letting you walk around with no clothes on you egotastical testosterone machine" "Ok suit yourself charlotte i wont be buying you any fucking drinks slut". The argument continued back and forth until finally they agreed he would put a shirt on AND buy drinks if his mates could come over too. 

The three of us order uber eats, char and i taking a spot on the couch to watch dance mums whilst  jack returns to his room to play ps5. "HARRY MATE 1V1 HIM" Jacks voice bellows through the entire house provoking yet another arguement between the twins. "JACK MATE IF YOU DONT PIPE THE FUCK DOWN THEN YOU WILL BE 1V1ING ME" She storms into his room unplugging the headset forcing him to come out while we eat. His tall body slumps into the bean bag on the floor of the living room as he opens his phone and ignores all of his surroundings. "Charlie and sam are coming over and then Nosh Harry cause he's with georgia". I look over at him from my spot on the couch and roll my eyes, no body notices thank god. "Anna, im gonna go shower ill be quick so you dont have to be stuck with that dick head for too long" "Gotta shower to look good for sammy boy, take as long as you like" i wink, knowingly mocking her. The mention of sams name causes jack to turn his head but lottie was already sprinting down the hallway out of his sight. It was now just charlotte woods' twin brother and i sitting in a room all alone.

"Anna, no chance my sister has eyes on sam jacobsen" he stands up from the bean bag scouring the adjoining kitchen for more snacks. "No way you didnt know, shes been drooling over him for months, its such a pissa cause sams a fucking nob". The conversation continues, he grabs corn thins and sits on the opposite end of the couch to me as we keep talking. "Sams a shit bloke, mate cheats on every fucking girl i have never seen anyone with such shit morals, obviously i hate my dick head sister and dont care if she gets hurt but i just cbs hearing her complaining". "no fucking way i just witnessed you have empathy for your sister, look at you softening up" i reply before getting completely bombarded with pain as he launches kicks at me from all angles. In that moment lottie barges in a towel wrapped around her head as she begins to yell "JACK EDWARD WOODS GET THE FUCK OFF ANNA RIGHT NOW OR IM CALLING MUM" "wow wow wow mate its not that deep it was just a couple kicks she'll live" he non chalontly responds "whatever you say i guess, anna you go shower i'll deal with him" lottie rolls her eyes as she speaks prompting me to head to the bathroom.

JACKS PERSPECTIVE

"Ok whatever i got too mad, but care too explain why you were kicking her, you just fucking met today and you are ALREADY harassing the poor girl" i sit as lottie lectures me "Char im sorry, i got carried away" i apologise "got carried away with WHAT" lottie snaps "dunno, probs just cause we were bullying each other" i say "ohhhh, i get what you mean now" she nudges me and instructs me to go to the bottleo in an effort to avoid more beef i agree. Its fucking icy outside and all i have is my hoodie, my mates are coming over soon so i rush down the street and around the corner to the store, scanning the shelves for 196's i grab some liquer and begin my journey home. My arms clench the bags of alcohol as the cold cans press close against the near frostbite of my skin. I chuck the plastic bag on the bench "Anna, Lottie the alc is on the table you both owe me big time" I yell so they can hear from down the hall. "Ohhh yeah also my mates are gonna be here in 5 dont be fucking weird around them i swear" I add on.

ANNAS PERSPECTIVE

"Anna, Lottie the alc is on the table you both owe me big time" Jack yells from down the hall. "Ohhh yeah also my mates are gonna be here in 5 dont be fucking weird around them i swear" he adds on. I finish my makeup by applying a final layer of mascara, i throw my 'for the culture' hoodie on over the top of my basic tank and zip up the wide leg abrand jeans that i wear all the time. "Oh my god would smash, highkey lesbo for you" lottie says as she sits at her desk dabbing in her blush. Looking in the mirror i kinda felt confident, my skin was clear, my outfit was good, my hair looking so blonde and my makeup was flawless. Not to toot my own horn too much but i was feeling sorta pretty .
