Twin temptations

chapter one

"wanna come to mine this arvo" Charlotte remarks as we chatter our way through double humanities, "fuck yeah, actually?" i reply "yeah we were at yours last Friday i guess its my turn" she quickly answers my question. "Hell yeah i'm finally meeting the fam" i say as we search for spare seats on the train. "Hate to yuck your yum but my family is off their nuts also Lilly, Poppy mum and dad are headed to Portsea tonight for some nippers thing for the girls so its just gonna be me and jack home", "so i'm not meeting mike or Sarah" i say slightly exaggerating my sadness . "HAHA mums gonna love you, nah course you'll meet them before they leave they wont be gone till like 5". 

Walking home from the station we get soaked in the pouring rain, i untie my hair the dampness defining a slight wave in my dirty blonde hair, my teeth chatter through sentences as Lottie and i shit talk every girl under the sun.  "She's a fucking hoe no way she got with 3 guys it one night" she exclaims "nup no chance i cannot believe she knew sienna liked him and still kissed him anyway that girl thinks with her boobs not her brain" i reply as spit flies from my mouth as i passionatley discuss. I seemed to hate every girl at my school, lottie agreed so we would talk about it for hours, some may call us bitches but i don't give a fuck i take that title with pride. We dry off our feet and head inside to the sounds of her little sisters sprinting around the hallways screaming. I sit down at the bench and skull a cup of water, while i entertain her mum with random details about my day. This is my first time in her house, meeting her parents it feels so natural her family is so welcoming. 

The lead of teddy wraps around my arm, as he sprints out of the door. Lottie comes chasing behind grabbing the long haired beast from my hands. "Thanks for walking him girls much appreciated" Sarah calls behind as the door slams. My feet squelch with puddles as the rain begins to stop, i hear a honk in the distance and swing my head around to be greeted with mike, Lotties dad. He was driving home from work and slowed down to chat, Lottie introduces me and again i repeat the same details about my day to her interested dad. "Wheres jack i thought you were getting him from detention" Lottie asked her dad as the window on the other side rolls down. "He's right next to me, mate is just tired after all that sitting and waiting" mike jokes as his son lays his head on his now open window sill. Lottie runs to his side i hear them bickering as i quickly join not far behind. I lock eyes with him and for a split second i caught myself thinking he was hot. His wet brown mullet that slightly covered his eyes, his navy tie that he had loosened so was hanging on by a thread, his long white collared shirt with his school logo on it that was stained with mud from his lunchtime footy game and his green eyes that complemented the tan of his skin so perfectly. Lottie was a beautiful girl but i always assumed her twin brother would be in his awkward, ugly phase but fuck me i was wrong. "This is anna" Lottie introduces me and before i could say anything the silence was broken "ohh hi i'm jack" his croaky voice was airy and light, his aussie accent was so subtle and attractive, i had to stop myself from melting on the spot.
