Chapter 9: Uunexpected encounter

Chapter 9:

Danielle Pov:

I was walking alongside Hanni while we were walking. Minji and Hyein where ahead of us talking to each other and jumping around. God how nice it is to be young...wtf I sound like a grandma.

"So.... are you and Hearin fighting or something?" Hanni asks out of nowhere.

Why would she ask that? Is it too obvious? I know if I tell her about the Keeho thing she's gonna tell Minji and Hyein, I guess it's not a bad thing but maybe I'll hurt Hearin even more by telling her. I'm already not on good terms with her. I don't want her to hate me even more, I really need progress with her guys.

Then I thought again about telling her. Screw it. She's my best friend, I have to. Even though Hanni has many friends she might seem rude (which she's obviously not), but friends should keep each other's secrets.

"Fine, if I tell you, will you promise not to tell anyone?" Hanni's face turned bright like I just said a life changing thing. She probably didn't expect me to reply.

"Bro of course, you're my best friend, why would I even think about telling people!"

She slapped my shoulder making me giggle.

"Basically, me and Hearin like the same guy, she hates me and wants to avoid me, but just because we like the same guy, doesn't mean we can't be friends, right?" Hanni sighs and looks at me.

"Look girl, I don't wanna say who you should like or not, but I think Keeho's tryna play you guys, I don't trust him at all, but hey, if you like him, I guess I'll support you?" She tilts her head.

What does she mean he is trying to play us? He literally confessed. There's no way, he's too nice to do such a thing. But what if he is and I'm just falling for one of his stupid games. Nah.

"Hanni, this is the first time I've ever liked someone, I just wanna see how it goes you know?"

Hanni nods. I can see that she's concerned for me but sometimes I have to do things on my own, find out for myself. He's the first guy I've liked, I don't easily like people.

I try change the topic,

"Anyways, do you have any idea how me and Haerin can become better friends?" I ask. Actually, wanting to know.

"I'll try convince Minji to invite her to the sleep over, maybe you guys can talk then?"

That was a great idea! I agreed with Hanni's idea, and we continued to walk to Hanni's apartment. Maybe her coming to the sleep over will be a good thing. Hopefully.

Haerin Pov:

I sat down next to my mum still confused why Ryujin was here. She held out her hand and greeted me.

"Hi, you must be Yeji's sister. I'm Ryujin, nice to meet you" She shook her hand and smiled at me.

Yeji went to sit beside her.

"I know all of you are wondering what she's doing here, but Mum, I wanted your approval first." Yeji said looking at my mum. My mum was so confused. I can't blame her, I was too. At least for now.

"Auntie, I wanted to ask for your approval to date your daughter". Ryujin pleaded holding Yeji's hand.

So that's why she's here. Damn. But at least she looks nice, I'm happy for them, but I wonder what my mum will think about them dating. I never told her about me and dating Garam. Now that I think about it maybe it was a good idea, you know, not telling her.

Mum got up from her seat and kneeled next to Ryujin.

"Honey, all I ask of you is to take good care of my eldest child. Please don't hurt her."
