Chapter 13: Lollipop

Haerin:

Surrounded by the aftermath of the previous night, Haerin woke up feeling refreshed and alert in the morning. There were no words to express how she felt the previous evening. Despite getting little sleep, she felt completely rested given that she knew the reason was a certain person she was continually thinking about. She was unwilling to think about any of it, but her mind wouldn't stop repeating the innocent and honestly pleasant moment she had spent with the girl that previous night.

That morning, Haerin woke up early and sprung of her bed, showered, and got ready for school puting on a simple but attractive outfit. She decided that the best way to stop her mind from pondering was to play video games. Everything looked to be progressing fine, until she received a notification from an unfamiliar number. Who had she given her number to? She couldn't recall. She had received another message from the same number leading her to open the massages.

HAERIN, you know who this is right?

How could she forget, of course? The boy she was allegedly crushing on. Before someone else walked in, she used to be completely focused on the him. Completely sure he was her soulmate. The boy she had her first kiss with. Where had all those feelings vanished to? Down the drain that was for sure. Playing with her was out of the question given that she had more pressing matters to attend to. Haerin rolled her eyes as she responded to the message rapidly and without giving it much thought. It was anoying.

HAERIN, you know who this is right?

                                                                               Is anything wrong?

He must of changed his number. Hopefully she wasn't too cold. She put her phone down. Today was probably going to be a long day that she was most definitely not prepared for. 

Danielle:

Danielle had a tough time sleeping for all she could think about was how the other girl looked at her, like she was staring into her soul or how she gave her hand warmers, or how she even walked her home and she charged her with kind words, something she would have never expected from Haerin, the switch up was surreal to her. But how could Danielle mind, this is all she could have wished for. She tried not to contemplate the girl given that she had to be dropped off promptly and she did not wish to speak with her just for today. Instead, she wanted her narrative to come to light on its own. She and Hanni also intended to explore a new route through the school. Since she was Hanni, who could stop her from being too curious? She was little, feisty, and instinctively intrigued by unimportant things.

As Dani proceeded to brush her teeth in a bathroom, she received a notification from an unidentified number. Is Haerin the person responsible for this? She never supplied her number, which is impossible. That subsequent notification piqued her interest even further.
