Chapter 11: Catching feelings

Danielle POV:

Watching Haerin falling asleep was calming, nerve calming even, everyone was already asleep. I could hear Hanni snoring alongside Minji and Hyein.

I turn around to stare at Haerin's eyes, everything about her was so settleing, her aura was irreplaceable, no one in the world could replace her, she was unique and a someone I really wanted to explore and know more about. And even if it was forbiden, I would try because my curiosity beats my logic. I think I am developing feelings for her, but i don't want to admit that too early or jump in to conclusions, we havn't even talked properly yet. 

But the feelings where there, I could sense it. I kept on wondering why such a beautiful person could be so cold. Well, atleast to me. It broke my heart into pieces. 

I proceeded to take her loose strand of hair out of the way and place it behind her ear. Then I lowered my hand and cupped her cheeck. ( SO SOFT ). Aight Danielle stop your thoughts, your being wierd now. As I start to lower my hand so I can fall asleep, Haerin suddenly hugs me out of nowhere. It makes my heart beat rapid, my stomach felt wierd. She dag her face in my neck while wraping her arms around my waist. 

Why was it so hard to keep my cool in that moment? Was this love? Am I finally falling?

No, not now. Not this early, and god forbid Haerin finds out, she can't or I'll lose every chance with her. I can't tell anyone, not even my best friend Hanni. It is something I must deal with myself and myself only.

I could feel her hot breath hit my neck, my heart almost jumping out of my chest. But I calmed down after a while. Maybe this wasn't too bad, I felt safe in her arms, I felt calm. Soon enough I felt my eyes getting heavy and slowly closing with the sound of Haerin's breathing.

Haerin POV:

I moved my eyelids around, the sun was hitting my face. I hear faint noises comeing from this room. It sounded like the girls where gigilling. I tried to ignore, but their laughter kept on getting louder by the second. While moving my hand around, I felt that it was wraped around something warm, WAIT, that wasn't a SOMETHING, it was a SOMEONE. In that very moment my eyes burst open.

My very nightmare came to life. I was hugging Danielle Marsh. And as if on que she opened her eyes, not as shocked as I was. My eyes widened, my heart was thumping and my body didn't let me move out of the position. She is staring at me, I turn red. I could see her blush too. What does this mean?

I look up, and ofcourse. That's just my luck. The girls where taking photos of me and Danielle. Damn this sleepover i shouldn't have come here in the first place. 

My embaressment soon turns to anger. I sprint out of the bed and start spinting towards Hanni who was the megamind behind this idea since she was holding the camera.

"DELETE THE PHOTOS" I scream at her trying to grab the camera.

" Dani and Haerin sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G" She teases me and starts to run around the house, reaching the kitchen. 

"GIVE IT NOW!" I yell as we five more laps around the kitchen counter. And that's when I had enough. I jumped ontop of the counter and fell landing on Hanni retrieving the phone.

" Bitch I didn't know you where a whole ass animal" And ofcourse Minji said that, with Hyein trailing and laughing her ass off behind her.

I got off Hanni but suddenly she grabed her phone and I accepted my deffeat. I guess these photos will have to haunt me forever. I slumped onto the couch and sigh. The girls where laughing in the corner celibrating their victory. How will I face Danielle after this? We have a whole project to do together!

I get up and decide to get ready since my sister will soom be here to pick me up. 

I take a shower and get dressed. 

"Finally, took you long enough" Says Minji.

"Whatever" I reply. She comes walking toward me.

" C'mon sit at the table, we are gonna eat soon" She says.

"I'm really sorry, I can't, I have a family dinner soon, my sister is coming to pick me up in a few minutes" I say feeling guilty, seating myself on the couch.

Minji frowns " It's ok, i get it, you do what you have to, and thanks for coming.

"Always" I reply with a smile.

Minji then goes off to the table and sits beside Hanni and Hyein. They start eating their food.

Danielle comes out of the room, I try to avoid eye contanct with her, but with my luck, she comes sits right beside me, leaving a small gap between us. I gulp. How do I explain myself now? 

"It's fine, you don't have to explain yourself" She looks at me and flashes me a smile. My heart starts beating fast. Did she mean it.

"T-Thankyou and sorry" I managed to spit out.

" Don't worry about it!" She pats my back and gets up from the couch leaving me dazed. What is this feeling. Waking me up from my daydream, my sister calls me and tells me to get out since she is waiting for me outside. 

I bid goodbye to all the girls and head downstairs. I see Yeji's car and walk towards it. I open the car door and enter.

"Hey Lil Kang how was it?" Ryujin turns from her seat asking me.

"Good ig" I answer.

" Oh yeah, Haerin! As you know we're gonna have a family dinner, but some of Ryujins friends are coming, hope you don't mind too much" Yeji says and I nod not replying. Yeji and Ryujin look at eachother and start giggling. Whats wrong with them, they act like a bunch of teenagers.

"Is my Haerin baby inlove?" Yeji says half laughing.

"N-No don't be silly" I start blushing thinking of what happened this morning and what Danielle said to me. It won't exit my brain for the next few days.

Yeji POV:

I look at Haerin, It's obvious she likes someone. I turn to look at Ryujin and whisper in her ear.

"Look at her she'es blushing" Ryujin starts giggling. I look at Haerin she looks pissed at us, maybe we should stop now I say to Ryujin and she agrees. See even my girlfriend has limits. I smile to myself.

When we arrive home, Haerin automatlically leaves the car and runs off towards the house leaving me and Ryujin alone in the car. Ryujin grabs my hand and starts caressing it with her thumb. She look into my eyes.

" I'm so happy I met your family Yeji" She gives me a cute genuine smile. Even now she never always manages to make my heart beat fast.

I can't wait for this family dinner. Lets just say MY squad has come out to play.
