It was a long day. Mafuyu had just came home from school. As she walked up the stairs, she felt as if something was wrong. Really wrong. When she made it to her doorway, she found out exactly what it was: Mafuyu stood in horror as she had come to a realization: Her stuff was stolen.
Taken, like the stars when daybreak arrives.
Except the stars actually came back.
Her mother entered the room. "Oh dear, there you are. I'm so sorry about your stuff. I was searching for something on your laptop, & I spilled coffee! I had cleaned it all, but it smeared!" her mom said, suppressing a smile.
She knew it; her mom was lying. Her mom was efficient with cleaning, & she'd known her mother had taken it away. All that was left was her fish tank, table & bed.
