11:00pm
It's almost midnight and here I am struggling to keep up with my bestie's makeup routine over FaceTime. It's Thursday but clubbing during the week is normal when your bestie is a dentist and you're a law student.
"wah next?"
Jess responded saying " just the lip combo boo"
"Thank God"
Just as I was about to apply the lipgloss I heard footsteps in the hallway leading to my bedroom
"Yah fix up fi go bashment?"
"think yah sleep"I replied
That's my dad, the daily pain in my ass who never fails to remind me that I should find a man and stop hitch up roun him .He knows damn well he cannot function without me.
"mhmmm, afta tree nah grow inna mi face"
Why mi say dat knowing him go tell mi say my company can stay cause wi nah rub crotch.
"Lowe out Mr.Greeves and hurry up, memba say ladies free before 12.wonda if wi can make it?"
"Who dat, Jessica? wahm girl" he said with a smile
He knew damn well it's her cause who else do I usually FaceTime at these hours.
"Dad bye!" I said jokingly
he then proceeded to leave
"Goodnight kk, I just came to tell you I have a meeting with the interns at our firm tomorrow so I'll see you around 10, be safe love you. "
By the time he left I was through with my makeup and started to pick out my outfit.I found a pink skirt set I got from fashion nova a while now but never got around to wearing.
"Gold Heels or sandals" I asked Jess
"Definitely heels, we need all eyes on us!"
"Oh please ! Mrs.Swaby you do rmr you're a whole wife right?"
"Whatever" she chuckled
I scanned the closet for a pair and found the perfect bag to match.
11:40pm
"Okay Jess,I'm gonna leave out now,meet me in the parking lot outside the club"
The gas in the BMW is low right now so I grabbed the keys to the Range Rover ,it's also tinted and jet black so that should keep the nosy neighbours out.The club is 15mins away and I'm just pulling out the driveway let's see if I can beat the clock!
