(This is platonic! So, like a very unhealthy father and daughter relationship.)

"I'm so hungry.." I mumble under my breath while looking out the window. The darkness outside envelopes the tress, giving it a sense of the unknown. Leaning back into my chair, I heavily breathe in and click my tongue. "it's dark, and I want to go to the gas station." I stop a moment to think, then smile, leaning my head back. "I really don't care. Snacks sound so good.. It's not like my parents will know.. there at work." I softly say my voice, lowering when I say the last few words. I slowly stand up and stretch, making me groan in satisfaction. Strolling over to my desk, I pick up my phone and bag. Stuffing my wallet, Chapstick, and phone into my bag, I nod, thinking over all the things I needed for my trip to the gas station. "Oh yeah, I need a flashlight. I don't think I should just have my phone." I say then hum in realization.

Throwing my bag over my shoulder, I cautiously make my ways down the stairs. Worried that my parents are home from their trip. I sigh and shake my head in disappointment. 'They've been gone for a month.. Why would they suddenly be back? besides, they tell me every time when they are supposed to come home. They should be back next month.. But I'm not sure that plan will go through. They said the same thing two weeks ago.' Clearing my throat, I grab the flashlight that's set on top of the kitchen counter. Putting it into my bag, I slowly creak the front door open. Glancing around at the darkness that surrounds me, I stepping out the smell of pine fills my nose looking in front of me for a few moments my eye slightly twitches from the cold air sort of stinging my eyes.  'Okay.. It's time to get going.' Shuddering at the cold air that prickles my skin, I start to walk down the aged forest trail.

Taking my flashlight out of my bag, I shine it out in front of me. The leaves crunch under my feet as I walk and the wind rustle the trees near me. Stuffing a hand into my pocket as I hold my other hand out shining the path so I can see.

~Time Skip~

Glancing up, I sigh in relief, seeing the gleaming light of the gas station windows. Quickening my pace, I quickly push the gas station door open. Slowing my pace, I immediately look over at the cashier and freeze for a moment. He has fluffy dark brown hair with pale skin, his eyes the color of hazel. As soon as I walked in, his focus was all on me. His dark brown eyes shone in interest as he stared at me. I awkwardly nod my head, showing that I acknowledged him. Turning around, I walk down the chip aisle as I do. I listen to my shoes softly click onto the floor.

I shudder at the eyes, boaring into my back. I try to ignore it, keeping my focus on scanning the rows of different flavors of chips. But I can't help but glance behind me to see him intensely watching my every move. He looks into my eyes as soon as I look back, making me quickly look away and back at the chips. 'Come on.. just get the chips and the candy and get the fuck out of here. This dude really has a staring problem..' Bending down, I gently pull a bag of chips out I want from behind the plastic railing. "Hey.. do you need a-any help with anything?" I hear a male's voice softly say behind me. I slightly jumped at his presence.

'How did he get behind me so fast? And how didn't I hear his footsteps?..'

Gingerly turning around, I bite my cheek while looking up at him. He easily towers over me, making me look small in comparison. Fidgeting, I awkwardly look down down at my feet and shyly shake my head. I hear him softly humming, making me glance up at him. "Okay, Princess.. just c-call me if you ne-ed me." He says his voice, gentle like he's worried, he'll scare me. "I- okay." I mumble my voice, almost breaking from my nervousness. He stays in place just staring down at me. Gulping, I turn around and speed walk away from him. Turning the corner into the candy aile, I quickly scan all the sorts of candy and bent down, gently yanking gummy bears from behind the plastic railing.
