That match really made your trio popular, but you weren't expecting for it to go farther than some talk in your school. Your victory was spread everywhere- local newspapers, the internet and it was the talk of school soccer teams for weeks- and that didn't stop when every single match of yours from then on was never lost.

Flashing lights reflected on yours and Anzu's skin. The two of you were focused on the tv in front. How could you not, when you were so close to winning this match for the first time in forever. Anzu's frustrated yells were simply ignored as you moved your avatar to punch his and deal a critical hit.

"WHOOO YEESS!" you chanted jumping around the living room, showing off to the dejected boy. The bold words K.O were displayed on the screen and you couldn't be more happy, despite this being your first win. "Look who's boss here. Ha! I won. Suck it!"

"Y/nnn" scolded your auntie from the kitchen. "Ine is just upstairs, don't swear."

"sorry"

"Ha. I bet I'll win next time though. You just got lucky once." he mumbled, looking to the side.

"Aww is your ego too big to admit defeat" you cooed.

"Oh you're on! One more round-"

*RINGGGG*

"Huh mom, that's your phone right?" questioned your cousin.

"Yea seems like it, hmm unknown number- yes hello L/n Asahina here.. mhm..  yea...  really?"

The game was long disgarded as your aunt's phone call piqued your interest. Whatever you heard from whom she was talking with seemed to be quite a big deal. Her tone of voice gradually became ecstatic and by the end of the call she turned her head to your direction, staring at you proudly.

"Y/n!" she quickly yelled, embracing you in a hug "I'm so proud of you, you've finally found a passion and been called by the JFU imagine that!"

"What!? auntie are you serious!" you exclaimed, holding her just as tight in the hug.

"Huh, you're actually good?" jokingly commented Anzu from the side, still sitting on the couch and staring at you two like you were some teenage school girls giggling about a boy. Well you are a teenager, but that's another thing.

"Hey!"

"A representative of the JFU called for an interview. They want to talk about a soccer programme and you were chosed to participate!" your aunt continued gushing over your achievement, now tormenting your cheeks like an old lady.

"Really?! I-" you mumbled, trying to speak clearly with her hands pinching your cheeks.

"Oh Y/n I remember when you were seven and basically glued to that football. I'm so happy for you I might cry" she continued, ignoring your pained expression.
