Colby's POV

As I wait in line at the coffee shop around the corner from the hotel with my hood pulled up shielding my face, AirPods in my ears my phone vibrates in my pocket.

I open the message up immediately, seeing that it is from Morgan- ignoring all of my other notifications.

God damn

Black laces covers all of her most vulnerable bits. Those thighs and neck on full display for me. On her damn knees, wild hair thrown over her shoulder. I save that shit immediately with a smug grin and type a response.

This line is to long for 7am and taking way to damn long. Although I am itching to get back to the room, which makes time drag. I miss them already. I am 2 blocks away and my heart hurts that they aren't with me. How am I going to cope with being states away from my girls? I don't even know where they live. I know nothing about them. I know Mia is 11 and has an older sister who spoils the shit out of her. She is a tomboy, that is literally all.

Morgan Luck, I don't even know how old she is, I don't know what she does for work, where she lives, who she lives with, what she likes to do in her free time, what she loves? I have so many questions.

They know just about everything about me, I know nothing about them. And quite frankly, I want to know everything. It makes me feel like shit that I burst into their lives the way I have and haven't taken the time to get to know them. Although maybe that is for the best. As much as it hurts to think about, this weekend could very well be the last time we have any sort of contact.

No.

Don't think like that Colby.

Don't let them go.

I shake the negative thoughts from my head and look up. I am met by a kid, not much younger than me standing behind the counter waiting for me to order.

I don't even know what they like.

"Um, one minute" I mutter while pulling my phone out of my back pocket and tapping the screen a few times before bringing it to my ear.

"Hello?" Mia answers Morgan's phone.

"Morning Mia." I whisper into the phone.

"Morning bubba." she says back with a giggle. I hear the shower running in the background.

"What kind of bagels do you and your sister like?"

"Who is it?" I hear Morgan ask in the background.

"Bubba." she says and then answers me. "I like plain, she likes.... wait what do you like sissy?"

"Just gimme the phone." I hear again, and a giddy smile graces my face, just knowing I am going to be able to hear her voice.

"Hey, um.... asiago with veggie cream cheese-" she starts, I hear the water shut off and her grunt softly, probably from climbing out of the shower. I didn't check her bruises yet today and I can probably assume she is a little bit sore. "What do they have for coffee?" she asks.

"Vanilla, mocha, caramel, hazelnut...." I trail off, my mind fogging with images of her dripping wet and wrapped in a fluffy white towel.

"Iced mocha with cream, and if they have chocolate milk for Mia that would be great." she says.

"Okay baby. Be back in a few. Gimme back to Mia." I say.

And a second later Mia is back on the phone.

"Yes?"

"Whatcha doing?" I ask.

"Sitting on the counter waiting for a free shower. I want to hurry up and get ready but Morgan took the longest shower in existence!" she exaggerates.
