Colby's POV

The second I have Mia in my arms my anxiety sizzles down to nothing. Sam and I's supporters erupt from below watching me grab her and settle her around my waist, her hiding in my neck and covering her ears. I wave in a last goodbye and make my way backstage with Sam and Kat in tow.

"Miaaaaa" I sing in her ear, rocking her back and forth.

"Buuuuuubs" she singings back, wrapping her little arms around my neck, I feel her little fingers running through the hair that lays at the back of my neck.

"I loveeeee youuuuu" I sing back with a chuckle, placing a kiss on the top of her head.

She lifts her head from my neck, her cheeks pink and a shy smile in her face. She leans forward and gives me a peck on the cheek as I plop us on the couch.

Sam and Kat soon follow, having a seat on the other side of the couch. Kat looking down at her lap, fiddling with her fingers and being quiet. She knows I am about to interrogate her. Sam gives me a look as if to tell me to be nice.

I take a deep breath and tuck Mia's head back into my neck to get her to settle, before asking my first question.

"Where is she?" I ask quietly.

"Upstairs. Probably sleeping." Kat mutters, not looking up at me. Sam puts an arm around her shoulder protectively and pulls her into him.

"It's 1pm." I say emotionless.

"She doesn't feel good. She took her meds and laid down Colby. I'm sure she will wake up and be fine. Let her relax. She has been through a lot the past few days. She probably just needed some alone time." Kat says just above a whisper.

"She took her headache medicine. It makes her tired I made sure she had a cold washcloth on her head. This happens sometimes Bubs, it's scary. But I know she will be okay." Mia mutters, looking up at me from my shoulder, her eyes glossy.

"Okay Mi. It's okay." I whisper, rubbing her back soothingly. "Does she get headaches a lot?" I ask.

She nods in response, and I feel her wet cheek push harder into neck as if she is trying to hide.

"She goes to the head doctor, and she has gotten a couple tests done at the hospital. Sometimes me and mommy have to bring her to the emergency room when it gets really bad." she says. "Mommy said she has bumps on her brain and back that make her sick sometimes."

Sam and Kat whip their heads up in our direction surprised and I have to keep myself together for the sake of the scared little girl in my lap. That doesn't stop me from taking in a large breath and tensing up. My hands go clammy and I feel like I am going to puke.

"Kat. What medicine did she take?" I ask.

"Um.... Nurtec?" she replies questioningly. This earns a nod from Mia.

"In emergencies." Mia adds. "I know what to do, I promise!" she squeals and jolts up, her hands up as if to defend herself, looking around the room frantically to find someone to believe her.

"I know Mi, I know. You did a great job... didn't she Kat?" I ask, pulling her back into my chest.

Kat nods her head aggressively " She did. She knew exactly what to do. Mia, you're such a good little sister, you know that? You take care of sissy?" she asks.

She nods in response as I glance in Sam's direction. His watery eyes watching Mia's every move.

"C'mere Mi." he mutters softly holding his arms out.

She stands from my lap and makes her way to him. He pulls her up onto his lap, tucking her now soggy face into his neck and praises her about how smart and caring she is, planting kisses on her head. Kat wraps her arms around the both of them and snuggles deeper into the couch, resting her head next to Mia's.
