I couldn't help but feel a sense of triumph glancing around the classroom with a sly smile. You see, I had managed to pull off something quite remarkable this morning - I had cheated on a test without being got caught.

Now, I know what you're thinking. Cheating is wrong, and I completely agree. But I don't care. I'm absolutely happy, life seems perfect.

But it was too early to celebrate

But it was too early to celebrate. Suddenly, I got a phone call from Ethan.

"Lia, bad news," his voice sounded worried, "It's about those bullies... Court session will be today in the evening. I've heard the judge is planning to acquit them and to recognize not guilty."

My blood started boiling with anger.

It was like a punch in the gut, a slap in the face, and I couldn't help but feel my temper flare up. I clenched my fists, my knuckles turning white with the intensity of my rage. How could they get away with it? How could justice slip through our fingers like sand? It was infuriating, unjust, and I wasn't about to let it slide.

I needed to do something, anything, to make sure those bullies faced the consequences they deserved. They couldn't just walk away unscathed, thinking they could continue their reign of terror without repercussions.

My mind raced with reckless thoughts, fueled by a burning desire for justice. I wanted to confront them, to make them understand the pain and suffering they had inflicted upon Ethan. They needed to feel the weight of their actions, to see the consequences of their cruelty.

I wasn't going to let fear hold me back. This was about standing up for what was right and defending those who couldn't defend themselves.

It's not the appropriate time to think about schooling. I will skip some classes, that's not a big deal. I am not afraid to be punished later.

I turned to Caroline who was revising something for the next lessons.

"Sorry, I have to go," I exclaimed, "There are some very important things to do."

"Lia!"

I have just run out from school - no time for explanation.

They may have fooled the system, but they won't fool me. I knew I had to make a decision, one that defied logic and embraced the realm of magic.

The jewellery has been already on my neck. It was Mia's necklace, the one with the mysterious pendant that possessed the power to change colors under certain circumstances. As I stood before the mirror, my reflection stared back at me, uncertain and hesitant.

The pendant held a power that I couldn't fully comprehend, but in this moment, I believed in its potential. It seems crazy, but how can I know if I don't try?

I stood by the side of the road, thumb outstretched, hoping for a kind soul to pick me up. Hitchhiking was not something I had ever imagined myself doing, but desperate times called for desperate measures. I needed to get to the court building in Ravenwood, and I needed to get there fast.
