Revert To His Old Way

"Have you talked Mia since this morning?" Olivia asked, impatient to work things out with Spencer.

She and Patience sat at their lunch table where the guys were already settled into the seats and eating.

"No, but I did see her and Spencer leaving a class on my way over to the cafeteria." Patience replied. "Spencer didn't seem so upset anymore. I think he'll talk to you once they get here."

"Good." Olivia mused, smiling largely, missing Spencer dearly over the last few days he spent icing her out.

They were joined by Taylor and Kia not too long after.  Everyone broke off into their side conversations, goofing off with the boys and eating as the time went by.

Spencer and Mia made their way over the lively group towards the end of lunch, sparking Olivia to jump to her feet.

"Spenc..." She started to say but was interrupted by Spencer himself.

"You guys know the new transfer, right?" He interjected as if he hadn't even heard Olivia speak to him.

Everyone glanced at one another, perplexed by how Spencer disregarded Olivia, who'd sat down by now in immediate embarrassment.

"Yeah, man." Chris answered on behalf of the group. "She's Patience new friend." He shrugged off, unimpressed with the cheery girl next to Spencer.

Hus attention was more centered in how Olivia looked downcasted in her lunch as Spencer completely ignored her presence.

"Did you talk to him, Mia?" Taylor abruptly spoke.

"Of course,  I did." Mia insisted, looping her arms through Spencer's, causing all the girls to begin narrow their eyes at her.

"I just want to introduce her since she will be joining us on Saturday for the Sadie Hawkins dance." Spencer retorted smugly.

"Like hell she is, Spencer." Olivia immediately jumped back to her feet, refusing to be ignored now. "What the hell did you talk to him about, Mia?" 

"Exactly what you said, I could." Mia shrugged innocently. "You said you guys were done, Liv. Did you change your mind?" She added feigning confusion.

"You know damn well that's-" Taylor jumped up next, causing Spencer to Mia's aid.

"That's enough." Spencer jumped in. "I get it that Oli's your friend, but you guys aren't about to gang up on the first I introduce." His eyes went to Olivia's hurt eyes. "You said you wanted us to see other people. That's what I'm doing."

Olivia shook her heads as tears tried to fall from her eyes.

"Spencer, Mia-" Kia tried to intervene only for Spencer to shut her down.

"Mia was nice enough to ask me to the dance. She's new. And doesn't know anyone.   You can't be mad at her for being interested in me just because of your loyalties to Olivia." Spencer stopped Kia from going any further. "Now, I promised Mia that I would show her around, so I will see yall later."

He and Mia strutted away from lunch table as chaos ensued.

"I told yall she was too keen on getting in good with us. She just wanted the down low on Spencer!" Taylor yelled, wrapping a protective arm around a weeping Liv. "I'm gonna beat her ass."
