It was a simple mission.

"Go up to the surface, snatch some of what they have and bring it back here." Oleg instructed. He called you in for a supply run. It wasn't unusual for you as you were one of the best smugglers on the planet if your success rate had anything to say about it.

"Sure. Am I looking for something in particular this time?" you questioned, fidgeting with your equipment.

"Natasha is in need of some more bandages and painkillers, so probably focus on those, but otherwise go with your gut." Oleg answered about to add something when the jarring sound of a certain man's voice cut through the air.

Your eye twitched out of reflex as you turned to the direction the noise came from, "And what the hell are you doing here?"

"(Y/N)! My dear rival in crime!" he greeted in that annoying cheery tone of his.

'Sampo fucking Koski' your worst nightmare. The man was as insufferable as he was incompetent, you were surprised he hasn't yet landed himself in some Silvermane jail, indefinitely. 'Dumb luck,' you thought.

"Ah, Sampo. Glad you're here, I already explained what's needed to (Y/N). I'm sure, they'll brief you on the way."

You turned to Oleg in horror, "wait. What does 'on the way' mean?" You sincerely hoped you misunderstood what was implied.

"You're going together. There's quite a lot that we need so you can share the workload." Oleg explained, seeing your obvious distaste, "Can I please ask you to reign in your rivalries for the time being until the mission is over?"

"It's not about rivalries-" you cut yourself off, taking a deep breath, pinching the bridge of your nose in the process, "Yes, boss."

"Happy to work with you for once, (Y/N). I always wondered how you raked in so much loot and now I can watch you in action." Sampo babbled for hours on end and you were just about ready to shoot him dead.

'Nobody would know... Nobody. The last time I saw him, some Silvermanes were on his tail. Poor bastard, I miss him already.' you rehearsed for your inevitable murder plot.

"Hey, (Y/N)? You gonna tell me what we're looking for before we get in?" he suddenly asked, waving a hand in front of your face to get your attention.

"Meds and some mechanical parts. If I see you dragging around something unrelated..." you trailed off, hoping your death glare would complete the sentence for you.

"Got it. Got it." he grinned leisurely as if completely unaffected by your hostile demeanour, "So, what's up with that doo dah you're carrying around?"

Your eyes trailed to your portable storage capsule. "I store my loot in it."

"Oooh. That's cool. I should get one of those, these bags get really annoying to carry everywhere. Where did you get it?"

"Found it among some top-siders' junk. No clue where or if there's any others." you shrugged, pocketing your clever piece of tech.

"Aww shucks. Bags it is then." he sulked, "Not like it matters anyway. I'm plenty strong for the old fashioned way." he mused gleefully, trudging through the snow like he owned the place, hands behind his head and everything.

You groaned internally, about to comment on it before your danger sense suddenly went off. The crunching of snow under your feet overshadowed by a rhythmic clanking of armor, "Shit."

Before Sampo could question your sudden exclamation, he was shoved to the side as you pushed him behind a conveniently placed ice construct, "Wha-"

Slapping a hand over his mouth, you pinned him to the wall-like side of the ice hiding your presence. Waiting a couple of minutes, you carefully peaked out to check if the coast was clear. Once the guards passed, you darted to a different hiding spot, in case they caught on, dragging Sampo along.
