Only took me a year to post another part.
Also, after re-reading my old writing, I'm just gonna archive all of it, it is so fucking bad oh my god
Even the whole "End of the World" story line sucks ass.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(Y/N) scarfed down on his lunch plate while normal (Y/N) looked at him, slightly concerned at how quickly he was eating, "Slow down, jesus... the food isn't going anywhere."
Everyone else at their table was just talking with each other, not noticing the fact that (Y/N) had already finished his lunch in just a few minutes. He picked up a napkin wiping his mouth before looking over at his invisible co-pilot. 'Yeah, but you can't blame me when our bodies need the calories to keep up with our quirk usage. Plus, there's a tournament next so, gotta be prepared.'
"So does that mean you'll be going through the entire thing for us?"
'We still haven't figured out how to switch spots, so for now, I'm gonna have to.'
Normal (Y/N) sighed, looking over at Uraraka, who couldn't even see him right now since Alternate (Y/N) was the one in control of their body at the moment. He wondered if she could tell the difference between the two of them, tell that the one currently talking to the group wasn't the one they knew.
'We're the same person, just different points in time.'
(Y/N)'s voice in their head caught him off guard, "You can tell what I'm thinking?"
'Sort of, I can't read your mind but I can somewhat feel your emotions. They can probably tell if I do something different enough, might happen during the tournament...'
"What are you going to do then? They're not gonna just believe that there are two versions of us occupying the same body, that's like... Moon Knight or something, and we'd get admitted to a mental hospital."
'We literally live in a world where people have quirks, there are stranger things out there.'
"Point taken. I guess only time will tell."
'Mhm.'
After a while, lunch ended as everyone who succeeded in the previous match headed back to the arena as Midnight began to explain how the tournament would function, and that the matches set up would be determined by a random draw. However, out of the blue, two people decided to withdraw because they couldn't remember much from the cavalry battle until the very end, resulting in two others being moved up.
Neither variant of (Y/N) said anything in response, except normal (Y/N) was just slightly surprised by what happened. Soon, Midnight began drawing from a box for who was up against who and after a while, (Y/N)'s name came up.
"Let's see who's our opponent..."
'Should be Mina if I remember correctly...'
"... Yaoyorozu!" Midnight announced, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers in response.
'Nevermind...'
(Y/N) looked around the crowd and found Yaoyorozu, giving her a thumbs up before focusing back on the screen.
"This... doesn't seem fair."
'She's crafty and smart, she'll probably find something to hit us with.'
"I mean, yeah, but it would be fairer if it was me doing the fighting. You have actual years of experience right?"
'I'll go easy on her if that's what you're concerned about, I got a handicap considering this body isn't used to our quirk yet.'
