A distinct coffee smell filled the whole house, curtains open letting in sunlight touches every corner of the room, giving life to creatures, waking them up from their slumber to start another day that is as priceless as a gift from the creator of life.
Plants reacting to the light, a sign to start photosynthesising, to take in nutrients necessary for them to live and stay alive, tiny insects and creatures getting ready to look and hunt for food to feed their tiny stomach. Animals and pets stretching their bodies, with eyes shining and filled with hope to have fun this day as well, and then there's this creature, assumed to have been the most blessed, the smartest creature ever created, sprawled on the couch, disheveled from head to toe.
Appeared to be back into the slumber, at a time where other similar creature seem to be busy getting ready for the day, this one specific creature somehow forgoes all their responsibility and decided to stay in this moment fulfilling their desire to sink back into the world of dreams.
*click-clack*
*rattle*
*bang*"Umphhh!!" removing a pillow that is pressing hard on my face that came from nowhere.
"WAKE UP YOU PILLOW EATER!!!" screams a woman with a voice as loud as ambulance sirene from a close distance.
"Wha-? What the-! What time is it?!" me, obviously panicking.
"It's lunch-time. What are you having for lunch?" says the woman
"F--!"I hurriedly flies from the sofa I was sprawled on towards the bathroom to get ready.
"I'm pretty sure my alarm is working just fine yesterday, what happened to it?!"
"You tell me." scoffs the woman.---
"What! A! Long! Day! Aaaaaaahhhh" groans escaped my lips. Could have enjoyed the day fully but who would thought that I overslept, spent a good 30 minutes feeling uncomfortable being glared at by the boss at work. But nevermind that.
"I'm homeeeee!!"
Searching through the fridge for ingredients to make dinner with, thoughts in my head becoming louder, telling me to just eat instant noodle soup with egg in it, making my mouth automatically waters.
"But I had it last night as well!"
Feeling a bit disappointed, but the feeling soon vanished because my hands already started boiling the water, and an opened package of instant noodle is already on the counter."No harm in eating it two days in a row." a grin appeared on my face, although I didn't seem to notice.
Leftover rice heated on the table in front of the tv, cold iced coffee already sweating through the glass cup soaking the knitted heart-shaped coaster, and a boiling hot cooked noodle beside it being blown, hard, not forgetting micro-sized salivas flying into it.
"The tv is no fun, let's just watch our usual thing."
Scrolling and scrolling down my phone to search for the usual channel I watch, a thumbnail for a video caught my eyes.[Dream or not, something appeared beside me when I was sleeping!]
Almost forgetting what happened to me this morning, my memory played back to the moment this something appeared right on the other side of my bed. A frown came onto my face as I slurp on my noodle and putting the phone down.
"So, it's real? And not just to me?"
Although curious, the noodles, coffee and rice soon vanished, leaving empty dishes on the sink to wash later, hopefully not tomorrow, body already sprawled on the bed and the hand reaches to grab the phone to watch the video to know more about it, although only about half-way through, eyes slowly closing as well as consciousness slowly leaving my body, leading me once more into the world of dreams.
