Thank you for taking time to read my book - it means more than I could ever express in words. I myself am an avid reader and student of literature and I dearly love this community. I once studied to be an English Lit. teacher until I discovered I had irreconcilable ethical issues with the education system in my country and so abandoned that pursuit. My happiness and mental health had to take precedence. So here I am writing on Wattpad instead! If I have drawn on a literary reference in a chapter I will leave a footnote if anyone is interested in further reading.
Some housekeeping:
- This is a safe space for all. Hate comments of any kind will not be tolerated. All races, genders, religions and sexual orientations are welcome. Any comments that I deem offensive will be removed. Remember, it costs absolutely nothing to be kind.
- This book will deal with some dark themes. Please see the Trigger Warning section - I will NOT post individual warnings on chapters so this is your only chance to quit while ahead. The choice to not post warnings is so the flow of the story is not disrupted.
- If anyone has any issues with sensitive topics covered or just feel like they need someone to talk to my inbox is always open.
- Not all stories have happy endings - that doesn't mean they don't deserve to be told.
- Characters will be flawed and will grow slowly over the course of the book. They will never be perfect and will sometimes make you angry. But isn't that what great stories do? Send you on an emotional rollercoaster with characters you love and love to hate. That is what I am aiming for and hopefully I achieve that for you.
- This is a dark romance. There will be recognisable tropes used. Love or hate them - can't escape 'em.
