"243 points, we have a winner! Sweden, you have won the Eurovision Song Contest 2023! Congratulations to Loreen!"

As soon as Graham Norton said those words, Jere felt his world going down. He knew that, even though, his friends, his family and his girlfriend were supporting him, he couldn't help but to feel this immense sadness on him.

After congratulating Loreen and talking to his colleagues, Jere ran backstage. All he need now was to be in the arms of his lover.

As he entered the room, with her sitted down at the couch, their eyes connected. Just trough his eyes, Y/N was able to understand his feelings at the moment.

"Honey, I'm sorry." she said while he was approaching her to give her the biggest hug anyone has ever gave her.

"It's okay, I'm with you now. At least I won the public votes." Jere stated with a chuckle but he couldn't help a few tears to fall from his eyes.

Y/N made sure to wipe them with her thumb before they could reach the bottom of his face.

"You did everything you were able to. Your performance was amazing and I'm so proud of you for being where you are right now. You might haven't won the contest but at least you won the public's hearts, and that is the most important thing. Think about all the friends you have made so far here, Bojan, Alika, everyone is deeply proud of you. I love you and I'm sure that everyone you interacted with since the beginning of this journey does too."

With that, Jere just kissed Y/N with a kiss that would stay in their memories forever.

Out of nowhere, Bojan appears at the door of the room dressed in Käärijä's iconic clothes singing ChaChaCha.

"Come on Käärijä, we've got to celebrate this!" Bojan says laughing while Jere still has his hands wrapped in Y/N's waist.
Jere looks at Y/N with hope that she would go party with them.

"Go with him, I'll wait for you in the hotel room"
He smiled at her, gave her one more peck and went with his friend.

After a few hours, Käärijä arrives at their room, changes his clothes and goes to bed where is lover is waiting for him with her arms open. He lays down with his head on her chest while she caresses his hair softly.

"Thank you for all your support, it really means a lot to me. I forgot to tell you earlier because Bojan interrupted us but I love you too. Like a lot." Jere says while slowly closing his eyes.

"Supporting you it's the least I can do as your partner, Jere. Sleep well".

And there he falls asleep with his arms surrounding Y/N's body with her hands still in his hair.
