No, this isn't an apology for once.
If the last chapter is still confusing and jumbled to some (which I'm sure it is to at least a few), I'll clear some stuff up.
1. The lie.
When Y/N was sent away by her orphanage with a few thousand Japanese yen, she bumped into Lady Dosuko.
The woman who told her that her parents were framed by Carmen's father, spiraling their lives into chaos.
Supposedly having enough with everything, the two abandon their accidental daughter in an orphanage at the corner of Japan, and leave all this crap behind.
Maelstrom soon enough got her to believe that they were the family she needed.
Along with her taking their side with the thought of Wolfe being the framer implanted in her mind.
They pretty much left the 'Wolfe was killed by the same boss that put her parents in that position so it's kinda all her fault' part out.
Y/N also doesn't know that her parent's boss is the same person chasing Team Red/VILE.
That being said, Y/N is completely unaware about Chief being neither Wolfe's murderer or her parent's boss.
2. The truth
Y/N's parents died from the spiked drink Lady Dokuso was ordered to set for them.
No suspicions arose since Wolfsbane was used. It's organic elements resemble a cardiac arrest.
Being ACME agents, and obviously trying to keep it a secret from the government, their bodies never got an autopsy so theories could only go so far.
The poisonous female was deployed after Shadowsan reported the possibility of Y/N's parents awareness to his identity.
Of course, Y/N also doesn't know that the ninja was also one of the triggers...at least not for now.
Her parents were simply agents sent in for back up.
After the death of her parents, she is sent into that orphanage.
