Zara was not in the mood due to the presence of the three oddly looking men. I won't lie, they were incredibly handsome. Unbelievably handsome. Too handsome. They were dressed very strangely, as if they had just come from a theater performance and decided to come and drink without changing their clothes. And all three of them were dressed in black. Their clothes indicated that they frequented the gym quite often.

However, from Zara's strange expression and slight disgust on her face, I understood that they were not here because of a performance. They were probably those silly inspections that come three or four times a week because of rumors about drug sales and fake alcohol here. Can't they accept that this place is so successful and of high quality? Well, inspections are inspections. I have to behave properly so as not to expose Zara. And also to avoid losing my job. Well, luckily they didn't come earlier because I wasn't here.

"Good evening, what will you gentlemen have?"
I politely asked, trying to put on my most natural smile. Zara continued to look tense, which made me feel tense as well. One of them returned the smile. We're making progress.

"I'll have whiskey on the rocks,"
the friendly handsome man replied, turning to his friend who was surveying the place. He looked quite young, considering how ugly and unfriendly the people who come for inspections usually are. It's lucky to have him here. Since the bar has more lighting around me, I can see his face very well. His dark brown hair perfectly matches his skin tone. His eyes are truly interesting. They appear so penetrating and yet soft at the same time. But their brown color is somewhat different. I've never seen such brown eyes before. I notice earrings on his ears, which makes him even more intriguing. He also has a pendant, but I can't see exactly what it is.

"At last someone doesn't want vodka tonight. And for the rest of you gentlemen?"
There was no response. The man continued to survey the place, while the one who was sitting on Zara's side just watched me without blinking. Weirdo. Well, what can you do? He's not the first, and he won't be the last. The last time a man did that, he wanted to sleep with me. I declined, of course. I had someone to go to at that time.

"Sir, you're staring at me as if I've eaten your breakfast. Can I help you with something?"
He looked horribly hostile and rude towards me as if I don't see it. Zara shifted uncomfortably in her seat, and the guy who ordered the whiskey smiled even wider. The other one stopped surveying the place and locked eyes with me. Did I say something wrong?

"Aurien, these are the men we're working on a joint project with. I thought they were coming tomorrow, but they surprised me,"
Zara said somewhat hesitantly. One of them nodded in agreement, and then she continued, "Dear, two of them will come upstairs with me to discuss things. I've already talked to Rowan about it." She nodded towards the man who ordered whiskey.
"Will you take care of our guest?"

"Of course, ma'am,"
I replied. After all, I'm at work. She's my boss here, and outside this place, she's my friend. I have to behave professionally in front of these men. One of them stood up, while the other continued to stare at me. What a strange guy. I raised one eyebrow at him questioningly and looked at him. Then he stood up. He was quite tall. If I had his height, I wouldn't have to jump to reach the bottles on the top shelves. The other one was tall too. He had long black shiny hair. His eyes had a pleasant green color. His expression seemed quite serious. That's when I noticed the mark above his eyebrow, shaped like a star. Who are these people anyway? I turned to the gentleman who seemed absorbed and emitted a terribly strong energy. I don't know how to explain it. He was attractive and yet exuded a sense of mystery and power. So sexy.
