Kakashi x Reader/ No matter who we are

Author's POV:

    While Y/N was fighting with Pain's main body Naruto was able to track down the real man behind the whole attack.
Y/N managed to destroy that body, and with that all of them gone.
When Naruto reached Nagato he would rather kill him right there but he wanted to talk to him. Because they have the same master, as their guidance but they're journey's ended up so differently. After speaking with him Nagato returned everybody from the death, and technically killed himself with that.
Kakashi was the first who find Naruto in the forest, and he went back with him in the village. Everybody was celebrating Naruto, as the new hero of Konoha.
While Kakashi was watching the scene something felt off to him. Then it hit him. Y/N wasn't there with them, he couldn't find her anywhere in the crowd.
Naruto noticed his worried expression, and he knew they had to find her.
They just exchanged some glance with each other, Sakura was looking them confused.

*Naruto wait! Where are you going?*

*We have to find Y/N! She was the one who destroyed Pain's main body. She didn't return yet. I have a bad feeling. Maybe she's got injured badly.*
Then they left. Sakura was still in a shock from what she heard.

Naruto and Kakashi was searching the area where the woman fought with the enemy but they couldn't find any clue.
Then suddenly a big roar could hear from deep in the forest.
When they find the source of the sound both of them jaw dropped.
Y/N was still in the giant tiger's head, and the animal was in an uncontrolled rage. The woman's body was like a ragdoll, she seemed to be unconscious. But when they sensed the blood of Kakashi the tiger stopped, and Y/N lifted her head up, they look dead in he's eye, the woman's eyes were still pitch black. It was clear she didn't recognized them.

*What do we do now?*- Naruto whispered to his sensei.

Kakashi was thinking hard what could be the solution, he looked down on his arm, the sign was still there and it was pulsing.
Then he just lifted his arm and slowly started to walk to the animal, step by step.

Naruto tried to say something but Kakashi shushed him.

As the distance was closing the tension grew more and more with every inch. But Kakashi tried to stay cool and collected.

*This is why I hate cats. They can be so moody* - he growled.

Finally he could reach them, and the tiger lowered its head to the height of the man in front of itself.
The sign on his arm now was glooming and aching. The animal sniffed the arm was reaching out to it.  Then they roar in union, she looked like an undead creator.
Kakashi's heart skipped a beat from this scene, he couldn't imagine what state she was in right now, but it was frightening.
Then Y/N black out again, and the tiger slowly disappeared. As she's falling down Kakashi was right there to catch her. She was still unconscious, but her eyes were normal again.

*Thank God*- Naruto said softly.

*Please don't die on me*- Kakashi whispered to her as they were going back to the village.

A week later:

The citizens slowly returned from the shock, and started to rebuild Konoha.
But not everyone was so happy.
Kakashi barley slept during these days, he stayed with Y/N, waiting to her wake up. He didn't even care about that the elders want a new Hokage, and he was one of they wanted.
Tsunade tried everything that she could to help her but her mind was the real problem.
It was like it is in a sleep mode according to the doctors.
Her teammates popped up time to time to see what is her condition, even Naruto came by. He told everyone what she did so the people will know what was her role of saving everyone. This was the situation for a whole week.

One day Naruto went to see them.

He gently knocked on his sensei's door.
When Kakashi opened it, he looked like a ghost. Naruto was shocked at first, then his eyes softened.

*I didn't want to bother you*- he started amberassed.

*It's ok. According to Guy I need company anyway.*

They sat down in the kitchen. The boy was deep in his thoughts while Kakashi was looking for some drinks and snacks and set back to the table.

*So ... I was thinking*

*God help*- the man said in his mind, smiling weakly at his student.

*I know it will sound stupid and maybe I shouldn't tell this, but I want to help her.*

*So?*

*She's a Nekoichi, yes?*

*And?*.

*Their personalities are like a cat*

*Sort of*- Kakashi mumbled.

*What if we take her to her homeland... You know, cats mostly attached to places, not to a person.*

Kakashi didn't understand what he wanted with this. He started to lose his patients.

*You know... it's like in those tails with vampires. They could rest in just a coffin filled the mud of their homeland.*

*You're kidding*- he said tired with a little anger in his voice.

Naruto stayed silent, and Kakashi started to consider his theory.

*You're out of your mind boy. But who knows... I'm out of ideas honestly.*

*So you give it a try?*

*Yeah, it couldn't be worse*

Then they asked Tsunade if they should move Y/N, but she said, it would be better not to disturb her with this. Especially because the journey will take long, even a few days.

So they decided to go alone, the Hokage promised to them she will look after her personally.

Eventually they came back after two days.
Unfortunately Y/N status was the same as they left her.

Kakashi's POV:

I still can't believe I'm doing this. But this is really our last resort.
We went to Y/N homeland and brought back a big amount of mud.
Yamato made a box for her, we filled up with the dirt and placed her body on the top of it.

*Should we close it?*- Yamato asked me confused.

*I don't know. Perhaps.*

So we slowly and gently closed the box. It wasn't tight so she could breath.

*And now what*- Yamato spoke again.

*I guess we just have to wait*- Naruto said clueless.

So here we go again...
