"You came to where she worked?" Lauren exclaimed and I nodded. "How else was I supposed to reach her?" I asked and she sighed. "I don't know, Google her?" she said, as if it was the most sensible thing in the world. "I didn't think of that. I was kind of panicking since Luke had taken her card to go swimming!" I defended myself, huffing as I crossed my arms. I leaned my back on the side of her bed as I thought about it. "Whatever. I have her number now," I said and she sighed. "Ya sure do."

"Shut up!" I laughed. "You're making me feel insecure about my desicions."

"Oh, whatever, dude."

"Lauren, it was nice watching The Fault in Our Stars with you but I must go. Tell Harry to give me a ring when he gets home, okay?" I said and she nodded.

I gave her a quick hug and a peck, saying goodbye to my mum and getting back out in my car.

The second I had got onto the highway, my phone started buzzing like crazy.

"Hello?" I answered and turned the music down. "Hey mate." It was Luke. "You wanna join us out? We're going to some party," he asked and I sighed. "Where?" I asked. "Towards the fancy buildings, I think," he said and I shrugged. "Sure, why not?" I answered.

"Nice, man. When are you getting home?" he asked. "I'm on my way now. But Luke, do us all a favor and control your drinking, you dirty lightweight," I joked and he laughed, nodding. "Definitely."

The place was not as messy as it was when I left it earlier, but that was probably just Luke trying to prove to his mum that he was responsible enough to live on his own.

"I'm home," I called out as I walked into the living room, seeing Michael on the counter as I let my eyes scout over the room that contained both our kitchen and our living room. "This place looks fancy," I said and Michael nodded, not being able to talk due to the fruit loops in his mouth.

"So," I said as I plopped down on a chair next to him. "According to Luke, you were out this morning, with a girl," I said, grinning as he started to chew faster, the edges of his mouth twitching.

"That little shit," he mumbled, food still in his mouth. "She's cool. Pretty. Y'know, all that stuff," he said and I frowned. "Thats it? Thats all I get? Mate," I said and he looked at me with a sour look on his face. "Your bra-strap is showing Oprah, we're not girlfriends," he said and I rolled my eyes. "C'mon buddy. You've got to have some more info for me," I said and he shrugged.

"We went out to eat. It was really nice, at this parlor. We walked on the beach after, it was really cute."

"See, you did have some more for me. What's her name?" I asked.

"Um, Jo. She works at the gas station we always used to go buy slushies before," he said and I shrugged. "Don't know who it is," I said.

"So, when do we get to meet this Jo-person?" I asked and he shrugged. "I just texted her, asking if she wanted to go to the party with me tonight. She has to work a late shift though, but she said she'd try to come later."

"Sweet."
