"Well, well" Angelina said with a raised brow as she set a paper bag on the counter that separated Beyoncé and her. "I-... miss Jolie..." Beyoncé said not knowing what to say. "Well you seemed to have made a full recovery quite quickly Miss Knowles... that's good to see" Angelina said with her arms crossed letting it be clearly known she has put two and two together about the situation. "... what are you doing here?" Beyoncé asked wanting a black hole to come and swallow her whole. "I thought to come bring you some lunch since you made it out to me like you were bed bound this morning. But I see that's not the case" Angelina said making Beyoncé sigh. "Miss Jolie, I'm so sorry-" "mommy, is the tea ready yet?" Blue said as she walked into the kitchen with her robe and bonnet on still rubbing her tired eyes.

"Mommy?" Angelina repeated, looking from blue to Beyoncé with a frown. Beyoncé did an even bigger sigh knowing the cats out of the bag now, it hadn't even been two weeks since she started the job and she knew she was about to lose it. "Who's this mommy?" Blue asked looking at Angelina. "Uh... this is Miss Jolie. Miss Jolie, this is my daughter Blue" Beyoncé said with her head down. "Nice to meet you. I can't shake your hand cause I don't feel too good" Blue said sounding apologetic and for some reason Angelina felt the corners of her mouth turn upwards recognising that same tone in Beyoncé. "It's nice to meet you too Miss Blue. Do you feel better than this morning?" Angelina asked making blue nod with a smile and Beyoncé saw Angelina smile back, she had never seen Angelina smile like... ever. Her teeth were perfect and her lips are so full "good. I got you some soup that'll hopefully help. Do you want it now or do you want to have what your mommy is making?" Angelina asked in a normal tone. "Uh... I want mommy's tea first but I have the soup after. Thank you Miss Jolie" blue said charming Angelina with her politeness. "You're very welcome miss Blue. How old are you?" Angelina asked. "Five" Beyoncé said holding up her five fingers. Angelina glanced at Beyoncé before looking back at blue, "oh so you're a big girl huh?" "Mhm I'm almost six!" Blue said perking up a little bit before she felt a turn on her stomach that was making its way up. "Uh oh, mommy!" Blue said looking at her mother before running to the bathroom before it was too late. "I'll be right back... it's okay baby let it out!" Beyoncé said as she ran after blue and helped her get it out leaving Beyoncé alone.

Angelina turned around and looked at the space around her. It was pretty basic in terms of decoration, but there were many photos up of Beyoncé and blue and some involving a dark skinned woman as well. a few seconds later she heard footsteps coming back in the room, "Sorry about that, blue has went back to bed" Beyoncé said coming back into the kitchen bringing Angelina out of her thoughts returning her focus to Beyoncé again. "So... You have a five year-old daughter? Something I specifically told you I would not accept when I gave you the job." Angelina said getting straight to the point. Beyoncé sighed not even wanting to give her eye contact, "Miss Jolie, i'm sorry. I really am, I just wanted to be able to afford a simple lifestyle for Blue and myself, we don't really have anybody else... This job was the only one that got back to me." Beyoncé said sadly as she poured the tea for Blue and herself. Angelina stayed quiet making Beyoncé finally look up at her to see Angelina looking at her but quickly look away. "... I want those papers turned in by the end of the day. You take Blue's tea and I will reheat her soup." Angelina said going around the counter to put the soup in the microwave whilst Beyoncé just watched her surprised. "S-so I still have the job?" Beyoncé asked carefully. "If you didn't you wouldn't have any work to hand in at the end of the day." Angelina said as she set the timer and looked at Beyoncé with crossed arms. "Thank you Miss Jolie" Beyoncé said smiling at her before leaving out the kitchen with Blue's tea. Angelina stood there trying her hardest to not let the corners of her mouth raise into a smile. Yes Beyoncé broke the rules, but it was for a child's wellbeing so it felt justified...

*A WEEK LATER*

Beyoncé placed the scripts on Angelina's desk as well as her coffee, just in time as Angelina opened the door to her office seeing Beyoncé. "Good morning Miss Jolie" Beyoncé said stepping aside as Angelina walked to her desk and sat in her chair. "Morning... I'll buzz you when I need something." Angelina said making Beyoncé nod and start to walk out the room when Angelina spoke up again, "How is Blue?" Beyoncé stopped in her tracks and turned around with a small smile, "She's good, she's at school today" Beyoncé replied finding it cute how Angelina has been asking about her ever since they met at the apartment. Angelina nodded, "Good, that's all." Angelina said making Beyoncé leave out the office.
