Ch 2

Once class is over Ni-ki immediately jumps to his feet and bounces on his heels as I slowly put away my notes and pack up my backpack. Once I'm done I get up and give Ni-ki a weak smile. "Dance is next right?" He nods in excitement smiling down at me. "Yep let's go." Next thing I know he's grabbing ahold of my hand I feeling a warmth fill my body and he starts dragging me through the halls to a large practice room. Once we walk in Ni-ki leads me over to the side of the room and takes a seat gently pulling me down beside him. I let out a little sigh as I look around the room a frown on my face. Ni-ki seems to notice because he looks at me curiously. "Are you alright?" I look over at him with a grimace. "I don't really want to be in this class. My sister signed me up despite the promise to myself that I would never dance again." A frown appears on his face as he studies my expression. "Why did you make a promise not to dance again?" I hesitate before saying softly. "Because my dancing caused my parents death." He looks at me in confusion and curiosity but before he can question me the teacher walks in she greeting the class before her eyes land on me a smile appearing on her face. "Well it seems we have a new student. Come on up here and introduce yourself." I grumble but get up and introduce myself to the others with a bow and am about to sit back down when the teacher tells me to wait. "Why don't you show us a few of your moves?" I immediately tense and give her a slight look. "Nope." I quickly take my seat back beside Ni-ki the teacher giving me a big frown while Ni-ki studies me. Soon everyone else is following the moves the teacher is showing for a new group dance but I refuse to participate. Instead I stand there feeling annoyed and uncomfortable. Once class is over I immediately grab my backpack and head towards the door when the teacher immediately stops me. "Toru can I speak with you for a second?" I let out a little sigh but turn around and approach the teacher reluctantly. "So I can see you don't want to participate in this class and I'm wondering why you signed up." I immediately look annoyed. "My sister signed me up without me knowing." She immediately frowns. "Well it's too late to change your schedule. So how about you help by cleaning the room up after school and I'll let the participation thing slide." I give a little nod agreeing to that deal and she dismisses me I turning around to head for the door I immediately a little surprised to see Ni-ki standing there waiting. I quickly approach him with a slight frown. "You didn't have to wait." He looks at me giving a big smile. "It's okay I wanted to. And I know you didn't know where the cafeteria is so I didn't want you getting lost." I give a small appreciative smile as he leads me through the hall and into the cafeteria I quickly grabbing some lunch then follow Ni-ki over to a large table that's actually two tables put together so everyone can fit comfortably. I cautiously head over and Ni-ki looks up at me before patting the spot beside him I taking the empty seat quietly while my eyes meet with a boy slightly older than me wearing a girls uniform he giving me a kind smile. "Hi I'm Linus! Welcome to our group." I give him a little shy smile back. "Hi I'm Toru. And thanks." I then start picking at my food only eating an occasional bite when Ni-ki looks at me curiously. "So what brought you to Korea?" I immediately freeze for a second before answering cautiously. "My sister got a new job and applied for me to go here." He nods and I take my still full bowl of food and get up excusing myself then quickly throw away my food and put the bowl away before rushing off.

(Ni-ki's Pov)

I watch as Toru runs off my nose wrinkling when his intoxicating scent turns sour I blurting out without thinking. "He smells off." Sunoo and Linus give each other knowing looks before looking back at me. "Yeah that happens when your mates emotions change." I frown a little feeling a bit concerned. "I'm going to go check on him." Before they can say anything I get up and follow Toru's scent until I end up outside underneath an old tree. Seeing his face buried in his arms I feel concerned and worried I moving closer. "Hey are you alright?" He looks up at me quickly wiping away the tears from his face. "I'm fine." I move closer taking a seat beside him. "You don't seem fine." He gives me a slight look. "I'm fine I promise." I frown a little before saying gently. "It's not good to keep everything bottled up and hidden." He lets out a little sigh before running a hand through his brown hair.
