Ch 4

(Ni-ki's Pov)

Watching Toru practically run from the room in embarrassment I let out a sigh and give Heeseung a slight look. "Hyung did you have to burst into my room?" He gives me a slight look. "Well I wasn't expecting you both to be in a very intimate situation." I immediately blush and say defensively. "I was just tickling him and we ended up in that position!" He raises an eyebrow at me and I blush even more. "I do really like him hyung. And he made me feel all warm and fuzzy when he called me by my real name." Heeseung's expression softens a little. "Well I fully support you being with your mate but you're also still really young Ni-ki so don't take things too far." I give him a slight look feeling mortified. "I'm not that young. And please don't start that conversation hyung." He frowns slightly. "Well it's perfectly normal to get certain feelings and emotions and he's your mate so...." I quickly scramble to my feet and bypass him with a quick "I don't want to hear it!"

(Toru's Pov)

Sitting at the table with Teddy, Cedar, Skye, Faine, Linus and Ace we all chat cheerfully I finding it really interesting that all of them are so different from each other but still treat each other like a family. Soon Jay comes out with the food and Teddy helps him distribute it out to all of us I so absorbed in my conversation with Ace that I blindly reach for an eating utensil only to immediately cry out when I'm burned I quickly cradling my hand that's turning red and swelling I feeling myself start to change so I stumble to my feet and run from the room bypassing Riki and to the nearest bathroom. I look at my reflection in the mirror I immediately seeing my golden eyes, pale skin and black hair staring back at me and I grimace at the throbbing in my hand. Soon there's a knock on the door making me jump startled I panicking when I hear Riki's voice. "Toru are you okay?" I hold back a pained whimper trying to keep my voice even. "Im fine." It's quiet for a second before the door handle starts to turn I quickly trying to grab it but it opens before I can and I flinch when I come face to face with Riki. He looks at me a little wide eyed it quiet between us before he speaks up sounding a little hurt. "You were hiding your true appearance?" I flinch and look down at the floor. "Yes." His tone turns a little angry I seeing his hands ball up into fists. "So what you just keep yourself hidden and don't trust me?" I look up at him pitifully. "Riki....." he shakes his head backing away. "No. Don't call me that anymore. I thought we were starting to trust each other. I thought you trusted me." I go to say something but he teleports away making me flinch and a broken whimper leaves me I quickly running from the bathroom and out the front door walking until I reach a bus stop where I keep my head down so my eyes aren't seen and manage to take a bus home feeling miserable.
