Chapter 11 - Internships
Y/n's POV
"All right everyone, focus up 'cause I'm only going to say this once," Dad said as he finally entered your homeroom. "As you know during the sports festival Pro Heroes could request for you to intern with them, last Friday I finally received all of your offers,"
"Quiet! Please focus!" Momo said after the class broke out into chatter at the news. Normally Iida would be the one to do that but he hasn't quite seemed like himself since the festival.
"Who has the most requests?!" Kaminari shouted out, earning him a warning glare from Momo.
"Give me a minute, I'll write everything up on the chalkboard," Dad said with a sigh. Unsurprisingly Shoto was the one to get requested the most even though Bakugo won the festival.
"Holy cow! Todoroki got more than Bakugo!? But he lost in the final round?" Denki shouted out yet again to which Jiro poked him with one of her headphone jacks.
"SHUT UP YOU DAMN EXTRAS!" Bakugo yelled clearly, still angered by the festival and how he won.
"I said, focus up!" Dad said quietly while rubbing his temples, no doubt a headache was already forming. "I'm rather proud of all of you, I've never had a class where everyone got at least one offer in their first year. The decision is entirely up to you but first-"
"It's time kiddies!" Midnight exclaimed as she barged into 1-A's classroom in a rather provocative skin-tight suit. Had Mineta still been here there definitely would have been some lewd comments thrown her way and a certain grape thrown out the window...
"For what exactly?" Momo asked as Midnight had yet to explain what was going on or why she was interrupting their class.
"To pick your hero name!" She exclaimed as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Aizawa here isn't the best at picking names so Present Mic and I decided it would be best if he had some help!"
"That's fair, my Pa did give him his hero name after all," You said quietly.
"I'll go ahead and pass out some whiteboards so you can all write down your ideas and present them to the class easier," Midnight said as she revealed a stack of whiteboards in the corner of the room. After a few minutes, she spoke up again and hesitantly Tsu decided to present her hero name first.
"I went with, Froppy; the rainy season hero, kero!" Tsu said as enthusiastically as ever.
"That's so cute!" Ochaco responded as everyone smiled in agreement.
"Let's get this over with already, I'm going with King Explosion Murderer," Bakugo said in all seriousness which just made it even funnier.
"No, go sit down and try again," Midnight said as she immediately shut down his hero name.
"I think I've got a good one!" Ochaco excitedly went to the front and flipped her whiteboard around dramatically revealing the name, "Uravity!"
"Perfect!" Midnight exclaimed as she patted Ochaco on the back and sent the girl back to her seat. Multiple students ended up just going with their own names for now but you knew what you wanted your hero name to be from day one. As you made your way to the front everyone just smirked as it was very obvious what you had selected, as it was already on your hero costume.
"I'm going with the name, Echo; the banshee hero!" you said happily as everyone nodded their head in agreement that was the perfect hero name for you.
"Banshee? Like the moaning spirit of death?" Midnight questioned.
