I Did It For Her

Chapter 3

-Sasha's Pov(Sorry for the wait, I'll explain at the end of the chapter! Enjoyyy)-

 I slowly come to hearing a beeping as my senses come back. I open my eyes slowly squinting at the blinding light. Blinking to adjust I go to sit up only to feel a growing burning pain from the middle of my chest. I let out a groan and flop back down.

 My arms and legs feel tingly and numb. I hear footsteps approaching. It puts me on guard as I look around for at least one of my two swords. I find them both slightly out of reach, sitting with them is my armor and cape.

 I try to think of what happened as the footsteps grew closer. The door opened snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked to it to see a frog, in doctor attire. His face seems to light up as he sees I'm awake.

 He walks over to me taking his clipboard out before looking at me. " Sasha WayBright, correct? " he says and I nod. " Good, and how are you feeling? Any pain? " He asks. " My chest hurts and everything feels tingly and numb. " I say through gritted teeth as the pain is stronger.  He nods as he writes on the paper. 

 " The nurse gave you pain meds, they should be kicking in soon. " He says as he finishes writing, putting his clipboard to his side once done." I'll leave you be, a nurse should be in soon. " And with that he leaves.

 10 minutes later

 The door opens again showing a nurse dressed newt. She waved at me before coming over. " Just checking in, how's the pain? " She asks. " Better, can't feel much of anything anymore. " I say and she nods. " How long was I out? " I ask, she looks up and hums in thought. " About, 3 weeks now. " She says and my eyes go wide. That long? 

 " How's Marcy? " I ask and she smiles. " She's doing great! Just a few scratches here and there, She got beat up pretty bad that day. Y'know she came and visited you everyday, it was quite cute. But you didn't hear that from me. " She says and ends with a  wink. I nod and she says her byes and goes to the door.

 "Wait!" I call out for her and she turns around. " Yes? " " When can I leave? " " in a couple days. We need to make sure you don't re-open your stitches. " She says, when I nod she walks out leaving me alone once again. I deiced to get some shut-eye as I feel drowsy.

-Marcy's Pov-

 I'm in my room in a friendly newt's house. Him and his husband let me stay here as long as I helped watch their kid while they worked. They have a 2 year old girl, she's pretty easy to take care of so it was a good deal. I'm working on trying to get a plan to get the box back. I dropped in after. . . that, happened.

 I was lost in thought when my alarm buzzed. It was time to visit her. I closed my notebook and map of the castle. I got my bag, putting said map and notebook in it and started walking downstairs. I saw Henry, the one that let me in, he's a librarian. And his husband Mark, he runs a shop downtown. 

 I waved and said bye, hearing them say bye as well. I put my shoes on and was about to open the door when I heard the fast pitter patters of tiny feet running to me. Turning around I bent down and caught the little newt in my arms as she ran into me. " Hey Cammi, need something?. " " I wanted to say bye! " I chuckle, patting her back. " Bye Cammi. " I say and she pulls away. She gives me a wave as do her fathers as I walk out.

 Walking down the streets of Newtopia was, weird. The guards didn't have anything to guard anymore as the castle was in the sky, so they just walked around occasionally stopped a criminal. I'm surprised the king hasn't called an order for mine or Sasha's arrest. 

 As I arrived to the hospital Sasha was transferred to I took a deep breath. I walked in and went to the counter. " Hello, Marcy, here for Sasha? " She asks and I chuckle before nodding. I've been here enough times everyone knew my name, and now since I'm visiting Sasha so much they assumed I'm here to for her.

 " Same room, I think you'll have a nice surprise when you get there. " She says and I give her a confused thanks and look as I walk towards her room.

 Room 363, third floor. Walking up the two flights of stairs I walked down the bright hallway. Saying hello or waving to anyone that I passed. I stop and turn to my right as I arrive. With a sigh I knock as always. I hear a come in but it wasn't from a doctor or nurse, no it was  voice I know all to well. 

 With a surprised gasp I open the door. There was Sashsa, sitting in her bed, looking at me. I felt my eyes water and I quickly close the door running to her side and hugging her. I mutter I'm sorry and it's my fault.

I felt a hand go on my chin and gently lift my face. I looked at he, she had a worried look. " It's not your fault. I made a choice and this is the consequences for it. There's no reason for you to feel guilty. I'm fine, you're fine, everyone and everything is fine. " She says I go to say something else but she cuts me off. "- Marcy, I just woke up let's just enjoy that. " She says and I nod.

 She lets go and I move so I'm laying on the bed more. I lay my head on her chest and just enjoy the moment. I hear soft snores coming from Sasha and slowly let her heartbeat put me to sleep.

Wowzer bowzer, that was long and a long wait. Sorry bout that, I had a lot going on at my dad's. And I was helping my friend with something that took a couple days.
