"It all must be one huge misunderstanding... yeah, that has to be it!" Kitty mumbled between sobs, her mascara and eyeliner appearing to be streamed all down her face. Her head was rested in my lap as I fiddled with her hair to comfort her. We were both sat in her dorm room bed, attempting to process what had just happened.
"Girl, absolutely not! That's what he wants you to think." I started, retracting my hand from her head. "He's a shit-talking bitch, that's what he is!" I raised my voice slightly, causing Kitty to raise her head from my lap and look at with a wtf look on her face. "sorry."
"You know what, I have an idea."
"Yeah!" I cheered her on.
"I'm gonna steal him back!" My cheers died down.
"Oh no girl..." Kitty let out a large groan at my response, burying her face into her mascara-stained pillow. "That kind of makes you look desperate, don't you think?"
"I'm not a matchmaker anymore... I'm a matchbreaker!" She shouted as the tears began streaming again.
Suddenly, we heard the door knob to her dorm twist, causing us to perk up and drive our conversation to a halt to tried to discover what the noise was...
"Spill it!" A mysterious voice was heard, the door muffling his words. I hastily slid towards the door in my fluffy socks and flipped off the light, hiding next to the door as Kitty threw herself under the duvet. "When did you get with Yuri, and where... and how far?"
"And most importantly, why?" I turned to Kitty, furrowing my eyebrows. I was starting to get concerned as to why some random men were walking into her dorm.
"Dae, you little scammer!" Dae? Not this guy again... Kitty immediately sprang up from the bed and ran to the door after hearing Dae's name. What a stalker! I didn't think he would go as far as to breaking in!
"What the fuck!" I turned to Kitty in a whisper-shouting voice, resulting in her pushing her index finger up to my lips to shut me up.
In retaliation, I licked her finger, causing her to quickly withdraw her it and pull a disgusted face at me.
"...No one's gonna blame you for upgrading a pen pal for an actual girlfriend." We heard this mystery person say in a mumble. A pen pal for an actual girlfriend?!
We both let out shrieks of disbelief.
Just then, the two of us both instantly regretted our decisions, slapping our palms against our mouths as Kitty began running towards the bed, and I began pressing myself up against the wall behind the door.
In an instant, the bedroom door flew open, and three tall, dark figures strode in.
"Marius, wake up! Time for class!" An oddly familiar voice called out while walking towards the bed in attempts of yanking the duvet off. At that point, I was still hidden behind the door with my hand over my mouth, trying my hardest not to make any noise.
He began walking away from the bed and towards the door with his head in his hands, covering his eyes — he was less than a centimetre away from me!
All of a sudden, he flicked on the light, and moved his hand out the way to uncover his eyes.
I was face to face with... Min ho?
"What the fuck!" He screamed as he jolted backwards, grabbing the other two boys by the arms, resulting in Kitty also uncovering herself from the duvet and screaming simultaneously with Min ho. "Stalker!" Min ho bellowed, running out the room to catch his breath, the other three boys following closely behind.
"What are you doing in Kitty's room, you crazy, creepy stalkers!" I trailed behind them out of the room and into the living room, barricading myself behind the couch.
"Kitty's room? This is our room, you Portland stalkers!" Min ho cried, pointing an accusatory pointer finger at me.
"No, this is my room!" Kitty burst into the living room, shoving her dormitory documents in the boys' faces. Dae snatched the credentials out of Kitty's hand and began scanning it thoroughly to find the mix up.
"You're listed as Song Covey..." He finally spoke up, flashing the paper in the other boys' faces.
"Song can also be a boys name." Q added.
"That doesn't explain why you're here though!" Min ho squawked, his finger wagging in my face once again.
"I'm comforting my friend after somebody... cheated on her." I whipped my head round to stare at Dae for a second before redirecting my eye-line back to Min ho.
"Please, let me explain." Dae begged in a soft voice.
"No. I never want to speak to you again."
And with that, Kitty stormed out the living room, leaving the three boys and I in awkward, tense silence.
