The cloud of dust was caused by several horses kicking up dirt. An army of soldiers lead by the king, who was an old man with white beard, and wearing shiny armor.

He sat on his armor covered horse at the front of the army, and stared at the tree covered border of the Moors.

"There they are, the mysterious Moors that no one dares to venture for fear of the magical creatures that lurk within. Well I say, crush them!" The King shouted.

His army cheered for his speech, ready to attack the Moors and take it for themselves. That is, until they heard the flapping of wings behind them.

The King and his soldiers watched as Maleficent descended from the sky and landed on a rock in front of the Moors. The army all stared at him in shock, never having seen a creature like him before.

Maleficent glared at the army and the King that threatened to destroy his home. "Go no further!" He ordered.

The King scoffed. "A King does not take orders from a winged elf."

The soldiers behind him laughed arrogantly at that comment.

"You are no King to me." Maleficent sneered.

The King looked to Maleficent with disgust and hatred. "Bring me his head." He ordered.

The soldiers all drew their weapons and began to advance towards Maleficent and the Moors.

"Arise and stand with me!" Maleficent yelled.

The ground started to shake, startling the soldiers and make them panic a bit. Suddenly, several tree-like figures burst out of the ground, carrying spears and hammers while some of them rode on top of giant hogs.

A second later, a giant serpent made of vines and branches burst from the ground as well, and shrieked loudly at the soldiers.

"Charge!" Someone yelled.

The soldiers ran towards the Moors, and Maleficent's army charged as well. The tree creatures easily managed to trample and crush anyone who got in their way, and the serpent slithered under the ground knocking soldiers out of the way.

Maleficent flew forward as well, using his wings to knock people off their horses. He picked up a soldier and tossed him to the ground, and used his wings to beat advancing soldiers away from him.

He flew back up into the air and his gaze looked into the king. Maleficent grew angry and flew straight towards him.

"You!" He hissed, knocking the King off his horse.

Maleficent landed on the ground and approached the King. "You will not have the Moors! Not now, not ever! You—!"

The king put his hand up and touched Maleficent's collarbone, making him hiss and back away. He looked down and saw a huge burn mark on his body that quickly healed itself.

"To the King!" Someone yelled.

The soldiers quickly retreated to their King to take him back to the castle, meaning that Maleficent had won the battle.
