I was so ready to scream at the top of my lungs when I heard this creature call me missy but simultaneously I had to admit he was right about Pyr. He needs to watch his insults because they always get him in trouble. Thinking carefully about what my next action would be, I decided to turn slowly and put a fake smile on my face.

The creature I had before me looked nothing like I had imagined. He looked like a human, a very alluring one at that, long hair, almost as long as my own, but pin-straight and grey-colored. The only indication that this man was an ice creature was the hue of his skin, it looked like it was translucent, like ice, you could almost see through it. His eyes, on the other hand, gave away his occupation, they looked like small fires were dancing inside his eye sockets. You would definitely know he was cavorting with dragons by looking straight at them.

As I was mentally checking the things out from my list of what a borione might look like I noticed he was also examining me from the top of my red hair to the bottoms of my shoes. When he seemed to be satisfied with this he turned happily to Pyr and uttered with a cheery voice.

"I'll be damned, you dog! You find yourself a very beautiful girl and you waited till now to bring her here?"

"Ahhh... I am sorry, but Pyr and I are only friends, there is nothing else here, nothing between us!"

"Oh my, my bad, I was just too excited thinking this kid finally fell in love. He is cold-hearted, dont let his sunkissed skin fool you. Uh, by the by, what's your name again?"

"Her name is Cordelia, she came to the last caravan dance we hosted and my mother read some tea leaves for her. She has been traveling with other merchants and sightseeing in different places so I decided to show her your stand, if you dont mind, that is."

Did he just make all these things up on the spot? He is very quick with his stories. While I was very impressed with him, I tried not to look like I was hearing this story for the first time. Luckily trading with merchants over at Steerport taught me a few things about foreign places, hence I was more than ready to elaborate given the chance.

"She is way too pale, though. She would fit right in the boriones guild, looking like that... Are you sure she is not from these parts?"

"I spent a lot of time as a child in the North Kingdom. I was tending to the Queen, I stayed there for just enough time to be granted the white streaks in my hair. Maybe that's why I seem to fit right in these parts."

"Oh, Cordelia does not play. You know, not enough people stay in that kingdom, dragons are flying all over the place, so pardon me for questioning you, but how come you ended up tending to the Queen?"

His eyes glistened with an otherworldly glow, their color remained this fiery orange that could make even the most fearless warrior, cave.

I could feel the hairs on my arms sticking up as I stared at his face and vice versa. If a human looked from the outside they would think we were having a silent staring contest, no one was taking a step back and I was desperately trying to think of something to say.

A very bold thought passed my mind, I was unsure I would be able to be believable but I decided to bite the bullet and proceeded with a confident look on my face.

"You see, I am a dragon enthusiast, I like studying them and using their different types of essence to my advantage. The Queen has a small pet dragon, origin unidentified, and she brought me there herself to help with that."

He looked at me with a puzzled expression on his face.

"Oh, so that's what you meant by 'tending to the Queen'... Hmm... Excuse the many questions but this is the first time I am hearing this kind of situation, and to be honest with you... It sounds unreal of a human to live in that Kingdom."
