Shit I knew I forgot something" Mike suddenly exclaims in their living room while gathering up supplies for his D&D game. Nancy looks up from her notes, annoyed at the disturbance. She knows it's partly her fault, trying to work on her newest article in a common space, but she couldn't focus in her room at the moment. Or for a week now really. Not since her and Robin began seeing each other. Now her room housed too many... distracting memories.

Nancy notices Mike looking at her like he was about to ask something, so she speaks first before he gets the chance.

"Whatever it is, no." Nancy goes back to focusing on her work. Mike rolls his eyes. "I didn't even say anything! But please can you drive over to Family Video? I promised the guys I'd rent Gremlins for after the game tonight." Nancy smiles, the thought of a certain dirty-blonde haired employee making her suddenly interested. She pretends to be annoyed with Mike while she agrees to do it so he doesn't question her sudden shift in attitude.

It was still fairly early in the day, so Family Videos is empty when Nancy walks in. She sees both Robin and Steve turn to look in her direction when the door chime goes off. Nancy gives a small wave to Robin before heading up to the desk.

"Hey Nance! Didn't expect to see you today, what are you doing here? I mean obviously you're here for a movie, uh, how can I help you I guess?" Robin fidgets with her rings as she rambles. Nancy's heart flutters with affection for the girl in front of her. "Oh well my brother is a dingus and forgot to pick up a movie for him and his friends so I said I'd get it for him." Steve finally joins the conversation after watching the two girls, he quirks a brow at Nancy. "He must owe you for that." Nancy doesn't look away from Robin, "oh uh yeah, it's good to have something over him. Just in case." She finally shifts her attention toward Steve and flashes her best fake smile, hoping that's enough to stop any further questions.

Robin also seems eager to redirect the conversation as she asks Nancy what movie Mike wanted. Steve chimes in again, "Gremlins right? Dustin was talking about it." It's Robin's turn to quirk a brow as she looks at Steve, a teasing tone in her voice. "Dude you have got to get friends your own age." This causes Nancy to chuckle and brings her attention back to the other girl. Robin's wearing her work uniform, consisting of oversized mens wear and a navy tie, and Nancy finds herself thinking about how handsome Robin looks. Nancy finally interrupts the pair in front of her.

"Robin, can you help me find the movie?" Robin smiles at her, "Oh yeah totally!" She starts to move towards the various shelves of the video store and Nancy follows. Once they're out of Steve's earshot Nancy says in a low voice. "Actually I think it's best if we check the back room for a copy." Robin turns to face the other girl and sees Nancy wearing a coy grin. "Yeah that sounds like a good idea. Actually I believe someone just returned a copy that would be back there."

Once the two are in the back room, Nancy walks up to the other girls and reaches out for Robin's collar. She starts trailing delicate fingers up and down the fabric before grabbing the taller girl's tie and pulling her close. Robin smirks as she follows the movement. "I'm starting to think you didn't want to check back here for the movie." Nancy just laughs gently, shaking her head before pulling on Robin's tie again, getting her to lean in for a kiss. After a moment Nancy pulls back just far enough to look the other girl in the eyes.

"You're just so handsome Robin, I couldn't help myself"

Robin feels her breath hitch. No one had ever called her that before, but as it falls from Nancy's lips it feels right .
