Chapter 2: Arrival in the New World to send a message

No One's Pov New England 1621

After three months out a sea, Damien Drăculești and his followers finally arrived in New England.

They had their familiars unload their coffins and the cargo onto carts and wagons, and they soon set out for the frontier. After a while, they soon arrived in the outskirts of frontier of the north, which was a meadow.

"This place is perfect." Damien said.

Then, a female vampire came up to his wearing a brown colonial dress with blonde hair and light green eyes with pale skin.

"Are you sure about this place, Damien? This place is disgusting." The female vampire asked.

"Yes, Serena, this place will be perfect for my home, a mansion, and quarters for the familiars." Damien responded."Now Ali, get out the tools we all have work to do."

Ali was the familiar to Damien Drăculești he was a slave from West Africa who Damien's father bought at a slave market, but Damien allowed the man to gain his freedom if he became his familiar.

"Understood, sir." Ali said as he handed the familiars and other vampires shovels, mattock, and axes.

"Vampires don't do labor." One male vampire with dark hair and red eyes said.

"We are not in the old country Desmond. We are in a whole new world now, so let get to work also send word to the other vampires we are no threatto them we come in peace and we offer our hands in friendship." Damien responded.

For the new two months, the vampires and their familiars build a mansion outta wood and stone or brick held together a combination of a limestone-clay material and trass.

The mansion was ten thousand square feet with seven hundred fifty acres to one thousand five hundred acres it had ten bedrooms, wooden floors covered with rugs, and paneled walls. They had plenty of well-built furniture, including chairs, couches, and large beds with feather mattresses. It was three stories tall it has an entrance hall that is an opulent hallway divided into two wings: the east wing and the west wing.
It also contains a library, astronomy equipment, a chemical lab, a small greenhouse and two huge dining room, and a kitchen their was another library that contains a magical machine composed of moving glass and electricity. A study in which Damien made notes and studied newly published research from other vampires or humans their is also a ballroom and very gorgeous garden and sleeping quarters for the familiars the mansion also had a den, stables and a prison tower.

But Damien and the vampires settlement did not go unnoticed as it they were being watched as the native Mohican and Abenaki tribes were watching them as well as the outcasts, especially the outcasts vampires while some accepted their olive branch of friendship there were some who don't want Damien Drăculești or his covenant here in the New World.

The leader of this group was Rus Malkovich  a vampire from Italy who saw Damien Drăculești as a rival and his covenant of vampires and familiars as competition.

Damien's pov

I was in my study looking over blueprints for the other vampires' houses, and then I heard a window shattering. I ran to investigate, and then I saw a grenade, which fussed was about to go off. I then rushed, and I grabbed the bomb and threw out the window, and it went off, causing a small explosion not enough to destroy the house.

"Master are you alright?" I hear Ail's voice called out.

"Yes I am fine." I replied.

Ail help me to my feet and we headed outside and we saw the destruction as some familiars were putting out the fire.

"Damien are you alright?" Serena asked.

"I am fine but now we have a problem that we have to deal with." I said.

"What are your orders my prince?" Serena asked.

"Take Desmond and twelve others including some familiars find Rus and his covenant bring them here to face Drăculești justice." I ordered.

Serena nodded and left as I then returned to my room as familiars worked on the repairs.

I waited for hours and hours as I slip from my wine glass that was full of blood.

"Master." Ail called out.

"Yes what is it?" I asked.

"Serena and the others have returned with Rus Malkovich and his covenant sir." Ail answered.

"Good." I said then to one last sip then I walked out to the courtyard were torches were lit.

I saw Rus Malkovich a vampire with long brown hair and beard with green eyes dressed in Italian clothing along with his covenant three male and two female vampires were on their knees and he was angry as two vampires held him down.

"I had done nothing to you I came here in peace and in friendship but then you decided you to try to bomb my house and try to kill me and you try to harm my fellow covenant." I said.

"We don't want you here Drăculești you and your family rule other Transylvania and the other vampire families have to pay tribute to you with an iron fist but not here and we don't want a piss ant vampire ruling over us we don't want you here Drăculești." Rus said as he spit at my feet.

I growled and I grabbed him by his throat and lifted him off the ground and looked at him in the eye.

"I didn't come here to rule
I came here in the name of peace and if you don't want me here fine you're gonna be my personal messenger boy I want you to tell the natives and the other outcasts not to come here uninvited and if they don't get the message this will happen." I said.

I let go of Rus and he took deep heavy breathes and then my covenant grabbed him the other members of his  covenant and dragged them to the road that lead to the manor.

"What are you going to do to us?" Rus
asked.

Then we heard the sound of horses and we saw a horse drawn cart carrying what I requested long wooden stakes.

"Like I said Rus you are gonna be my personal messenger boy as for your covenant they want to scare people find I'm gonna need some scarecrows." I said then I nodded.

The order was given my covenant and familiars layout Rus Malkovich's covenant and they impaled them then they pulled the stakes up with Rus covenant screaming in pain.

"Now Rus Malkovich go out and tell the Natives and the other outcasts what happened here tonight tell everyone what happens when they come here uninvited!" I yelled out in anger.

Rus did as he was told he ran for his life while his comrades were still screaming in pain I never want this to happen but I got my hands dirty but I to send a message I will do anything to protect my covenant and familiars in this New World.
