There is a primary reason why a person choses to hide some of their cards, that is due to the possibility of their opponents doing the same or in a more novel words they are preventing themselves on turning into a cicada that can be caught by the oriole. They will not put all of their eggs in one basket, to minimize the risk of having to face inreversible consequences.

The swordmaster whom finally learned when to act and how his actions should be made with regards to it's different possible effects knew this very well, too bad that the one he came face to face with in battle was none other than a supreme who achieve both his fame and respect through slaughtering his way out in Mt. Tonglu.

This won't work

Choi Han was well aware on his own strengths and weaknesses and it made him felt the pressure of being the one in a total disadvantage in a long while.

As expected, He was just playing with me earlier...

A grunt escaped his lips, as he was hit by the hilt of the scimitar in his left jaw.

Tsk..
The sweet metallic Taste of blood now became much more noticeable but still he was not in pain this kind of injury was nothing to him, he experience far much worse than this...

He can't help but let out a low chuckle as this fight made his blood boil in excitement....

I miss this feeling...

If Cale saw Choi Han in this state, he will surely again be reminded of how vicious this protagonist is.

Oh...

Hua Cheng was really contented, he was satisfied on what the boy is showing to him right now...

With a smile on his lips, he continues to shower the kid with his attacks, even though he was doing it more serious than earlier he still makes sure that he will not live any fatal injury.

An aura like a black smoke rising from the depths of the abyss, slowly became visible on the silver and strong metal...

It was the first time Hua Cheng felt this kind of aura, the black smoke was giving off a lethal yet different sense of fear. This feeling it was full of despair, If he was not the one facing this kid, just by its aura alone he was sure that this kid will not be underestimated in any fight.

Hua Cheng stop for a moment to scrutinize the new source of power that is unfamiliar to what he had seen so far.

Interesting...
He honestly voice out his thought...

Are you sure you want me to see this card of yours??
He said, amazement was laced in his voice.

It's worth it..
He answered firmly, no trace of deception nor unquestionable pride.

Choi Han knew how vital it is in any fight to not let the opponent have a clear view on what was unfolding, meaning having all of your cards layed out in front of your enemy was a great taboo. However Choi Han was sure that he must atleast do his much to atleast not in a total receiving end.

I'll let you see a portion of what I am capable of...

The scimitar in Hua Cheng's hand quiver, not because of an instinctive fear that a despair can bring but because of excitement. The weapon itself acknowledge the strength of its opponent.

Still unmoving Hua Cheng face the screaming dark blade head on, the sound that should reverberated when the two strong force met was swallowed by a thousand silver butterflies that came from who knows where,

Hua Cheng was pushed back a step, fully noting the boy's skills. It was now the time for him to stop the fun.

The black swordsman caught of guard by the mesmerising translucent butterflies and was bewildered for a second.

You lost...
The origin of the voice without any sense of sincerity meet his gaze,

He didn't know when or where he receives an injury but Choi Han's retort didn't came out of his mouth as he was frozen on the spot not a single muscle was obeying his will.

And from here the two protagonist of the fight have their not so heart to heart talk inside the paradise manor. That leads all the relevant main characters to meet on the not so friendly scene.

Cale with still many questions and theories running on his mind, was realaxingly satisfying his need for food in their own room, Cale in the dining table earlier didn't dare to eat too much not because he was being bothered by the ghost's ability to consume food but because the two lovey dovey's atmosphere that make even Choi Han's insensitive character question what was happening between the two. The latter can't help himself to keep peeking on the two people which made Cale rush to finish eating.

Listening to the tidbits of information from Choi Han, starting with finding himself at the mouth of the ghost city, and the God of Death's reminder to find the man in red , made him nearly have a heart attack for his companions scrupulous gut to find and face Hua Cheng.

That God of Death....

Cale curse inside of his mind....

San Lang,,..
Xie Lian called out making the man holding a paintbrush facing the table lift his gaze.

For the years of tutoring Hua Cheng to correct his writing and made it somewhat more readable, Xie Lian gave him a set of characters to practice on. But sadly no matter how many paper was wasted, Hua Cheng's writing was really beyond saving. For Xie Lian, who grew up surrounded by eye pleasing characters, he really can't take a second look to his writings.

Going to capital, tomorrow?
He started...

You.... You.. really know me San Lang..
Xie Lian smiled,

Dont worry Gege,,, I'll make sure those dogs knew who to bite..
