"I've noticed when I fear something, if I just end up doing it, I'm grateful in the end" That's what Colleen Hoover said and she's right even if it pains me to admit.

Let me give you an example: Imagine that your parents, your friends or anybody tells you that they have booked a trip for you and them to go to Dubai and that in a month or two you have a big exam, you will probably feel overwhelmed (unless you don't care about your studies and your grades) but you won't say no, you will certainly be against it, but we know that you will say yes and in the end you will have fun and you will be happy.

Overwhelmed (Meaning) : "When something overwhelms someone or something, it is too much or too much for them to handle.

First of all, remember that you only have one life, and I think it really ends when you're 60 or 65, because at that age you probably won't be able to do as many things as you did when you were younger. And try to say yes to as many things as you can to experience your life at full speed. I'm not saying that if someone says to you, "Hey buddy, do you want some drugs?" you should say yes, absolutely not, only say yes to things that don't put you in danger.

Ask yourself "What's really going on in my life?", maybe you'll be disappointed because the answer will surely be nothing, the routine, the usual or nothing interesting. Don't worry, it's okay (actually it's not, I'm just saying that to make you feel better) and I'm here to help you fix it. Then ask yourself "What's holding me back from living and experiencing my life to the fullest?", maybe it's work, maybe it's school, maybe it's someone who's toxic to you (we'll talk about toxic people later)... and that thing is making you feel overwhelmed, you don't know what to do, and when you feel overwhelmed you focus on that and usually end up trapped in a routine or burnt out.

So remember, school shouldn't take up more than 30-40% of your life, the rest is sleep, exercise, self-care and fun

So remember, school shouldn't take up more than 30-40% of your life, the rest is sleep, exercise, self-care and fun. Work shouldn't take up more than 50-55% of your life. You're going to say to me "that's great, but how do we stay out of this diagram?", it's really simple: you force yourself to do something exciting every day that makes you happy, maybe it's having a chai latte at Starbucks, maybe it's going on a roller coaster, maybe it's doing your skincare... There are endless possibilities, and also go outside, get some fresh air, do some exercise. Also you should try to have a regular schedule like: I'll start working at 8 in the morning and I'll finish at (maximum) 5 in the evening, that will really help you to stop being overwhelmed.

And if it's a toxic person, we'll talk about that in the next chapter!
