After Solis opened the box of his late grandmother, June Maxane, the whole room was illuminated with the glow of thousands colours which was emanating from the box.
"This light is gonna blind us all! " grunted Nicole.
After adjusting their eyes, everyone focused to actually see what was inside and couldn't believe their eyes as the items weren't ordinary.
Inside the box, there were seven shining gems. Each had their own colour. There were blue, ash, brown, white, orange, green and a golden gem. They all had the shape of a diamond. They were neatly kept in spaces that was made for them. Though there was something odd.
"Guys look, there is one space that's empty" said Jake.
"But why would it be empty? " asked Aneya.
"Maybe it was never there? " replied Alora.
"But mom said no one had opened it, " added Solis.
At that moment, the box suddenly started vibrating very fast.
"Why is it shaking? Is it gonna explode?!" asked Edward with fear.
Out of options, Sara kicked the box from where it was on the bed.
"Sorry, Sol! " she screamed.
Shine was whimpering in Alora's lap.
Just the moment when the box hit the hard floor, the gems came free from their places and started hovering and rotating in the air.
All they could do was watch the gems hover as it seemed like they were dancing .
Suddenly the gems whooshed towards Solis.
He screamed, "What's happening? Why did they stop in front of me!"
All the stones were moving back and forth taking turns, as if they wanted to get inside his head. Shine had started barking after leaping in front of Solis as if to protect him. Solis took him in his lap.
"This is really getting weird guys! " said Nicole.
"You think so?! " snapped Sara.
After all the gems took turns moving back and forth, they came close to each other. It was as if they were communicating.
"Are they talking??! " asked Jake.
"Looks like it! " replied Solis.
"This must be some kind of magic! " said Alora.
The gems suddenly rose higher and each gem shot towards each of them.
"What now?! " said Sara with visibile confusion.
Then with no warning, the gems whooshed inside their foreheads  and embeded itself in there as if it was a jewelry.
"Aaaaghhhh! " screamed Edward and Aneya.
"What the fuc-" grunted Sara.
It was the golden gem that had entered Solis'  forehead. For a moment , a severe hot burning pain was all that he could feel. It was like his world was turning and shifting. All he could do was endure the pain and keep his eyes closed. But suddenly a picture of a shining huge golden dragon flashed in his mind. It was as if the dragon was looking right at him or.... right through him? He didn't understand. All he could do was wish for it to be over. He could see the dragon's mouth moving as if it was saying something, but he couldn't hear anything. Distant burks were ringing in his ear. Suddenly the dragon vanished, and the pain stopped. It was as if his world had turned and shifted, but he couldn't figure out how much. He opened his eyes slowly and could feel his body once more. Except he wasn't sitting on the bed anymore. He was standing with Shine gripped tight around his hands. He couldn't believe his eyes when he opened them.
"What the hell just happened?! " screamed Edward. He was rubbing his eyes to see if it all was real.
"Am I dreaming? Are we in a trance or what? " said Nicole.
"Sheesh, that dragon was scary! And where in the world are we?!" cried Aneya.
"Wait you saw the red dragon too? " asked Sara.
"No... Not red.. Mine had the colour of soil" replied Aneya.
"I saw a green dragon, though it was more like a serpent, " said Alora.
"Is everyone okay though? " asked Solis. He was touching his forehead where the gem was. He had a tingling sensation there.
"I am, but we all look funny, " said Jake, who had the blue gem in his head.
"My head still hurts though, why did it act like that? " said Edward while touching his white gem.
"This gems are the reason we got teleported here, I still feel the huge ash coloured dragon flying in the air looking at me, " said Nicole.
Solis could feel this place wasn't ordinary. Because even though it was daytime there, the sun was barely shining. It looked like it had burnt out. Everywhere they looked had only layers and layers of sand. Nothing came into view.
"Where do we even go, guys? " asked Solis.
"This is bullshit, where the hell are we! " said Sara.
"Great, we are lost in nowhere. I wanna go home..... " whined Edward.
"The gems and this place are definitely connected. Maybe we all saw the dragons for a reason too," said Solis.
"Let's just stay together for now, " said Aneya.
"If only there was someone who could tell us what's happening....." groaned Jake, looking dull.
"Maybe I can help in this matter"
Solis could feel a light hand on his shoulder right after someone had spoken those words.
He whirled around.
"Who are you??! " asked Solis.
"The better question is, what are you??" Asked Alora.
"I am nothing but a guide to all the weilders that came here before you and those who will come after" said the unknown person who didn't look human, with a heavy voice.
