Chapter 2: Success

Bagger's POV:

We all stared at the Geek, who looked to be a couple years older than me and the Rescue Squad. He waved. "Hello. I'm Rick. It's short for Richard. May I sit down?" Evelyn and Henry exchanged surprised glances and nodded. "Sure."

"Thanks. I never actually sat with anyone before," Rick said, making me and Brave frown. "You never sat with anyone before? That's sad," Brave commented, as I patted Rick's shoulder as he nodded. Henry and Evelyn suddenly got up, dragging Moxxie with them. "We'll be right back," Evelyn and Henry said at the same time.

Moxxie's POV:

I don't know why my Bestie and her Boy Toy (Yes, the official nickname for Henry from Moxxie) were dragging me to the bathroom area. Evelyn gently pinned me against the wall while Henry leaned on it, giving me a puzzled expression. "You... do... know... that... he's... a... Geek... right?" Evelyn enunciated. I nodded slowly. "Yes... I... do... know... that... he... is... a... Geek," I enunciated back, making Henry sigh in annoyance and slap his forehead. "We thought you didn't like Geeks."

"Well, there's Inventor, correct? He's basically a Geek. But there's something about this one that I just... like. I mean, he tried to protect me, even though he failed and embarrassed himself miserably," I explained, rubbing my arm and blushing. Evelyn gasped. "You like him?" She said, sounding almost worried. I nodded. And unexpectedly, she squealed. "Aw, you finally have a crush!" She squealed so loudly that even Henry had to cover his ears.

Nicky's POV:

I adjusted my cap to keep it from falling. It was around 6:30 at night. Me, Detective, Inventor, Scout, Leader, Evelyn, Moxxie and Henry skipped watching Brave's baseball practice. Only Bagger stayed to watch, to keep Brave from suspecting anything. We had come to her and Detective's house to decorate for the party. Mr. Esposito and his Girlfriend were out on a date. Balloons, cake and so much more were decorated all around the house. Now, all we had to do was wait. I sat on the couch, next to Inventor and Scout. Henry, Evelyn and Moxxie just stood by the couch that Leader and Detective sat on. Suddenly, the doorknob rattled. We all stood up, and as soon as we saw Brave, we yelled out 'surprise'! She jumped up high, laughing. She came over and hugged all of us. "Is this for me? Who's idea was it?" Scout cleared her throat. "Nicky's idea," she said as Brave hugged me the hardest. "Wait, is this why you weren't at my practice? Because you missed me hit the hall hard," she said walking over to Bagger. "And is that also why you stayed behind to watch your girlfriend?"

"Yep. I stayed to watch you, to keep you from suspecting anything. But I would've gone to support you anyway," Bagger said, rubbing the back of his head, blushing. Brave pecked a kiss on his cheek. "Thanks." After that, we started partying. Mostly just talking. Soon after, I accidentally knocked over a portrait of Brave and her Mom. She gasped. "Nicky! You asshole! That was special to me! Get out!" She literally shoved me outside, even though I said it was an accident. I walked away from the house, fighting tears. I had never seen her so angry. I never wanted her to be angry. The others just watched in horror as I walked home. Just before I got to my driveway, I felt a rag over my mouth and nose, smelling very strong chemicals. I don't know what happened next, but I blacked out.

Peterson's POV:

- 30 minutes earlier -

I knocked out a cop, and put his uniform on. I was about to bust Grayson Pro out of prison. I finally reached his cell. I knocked on it. He looked at me. He was in a orange prisoner outfit, and had a thin brown beard. "What?" He asked angrily. I leaned through the bars. "How would you like to get revenge on a couple of kids?" He raised an eyebrow. "You busting me out? Who are you?" I smiled. "I'm Theodore Peterson. But you can call me Pete." I opened his cell and shook his hand. "So, why are you helping me?" He questioned. We walked out the police station, undetected and opened my passenger side door for him. "Because I need help to get rid of a couple of kids." He nodded. "Who?"

"One of them is your daughter, her Boyfriend and her Best Friend. The others are the ones that mainly aggravate me. I am going to ship one of them tonight. I have some strong chemicals to pass our target out. His name is Nicky. You help me with that, I'll let you beat up the others to your heart's content. We just gotta wait. Deal?"

"Deal."
