The morning sun cast long shadows over the sprawling fields  as Elvira, Daria, and Sara made their way through the tall crops. The air was alive with the buzz of insects and the gentle rustling of leaves. The three friends chatted and giggled, their voices carrying on the breeze.

Sara, her face freckled and radiant, turned to her companions with a mischievous smile. "Did I tell you? In just two days, it'll be my birthday!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I've been saving some extra food to make a small celebration for us. It'll be our little secret."

Elvira and Daria exchanged delighted glances, their youthful spirits lifted by Sara's infectious enthusiasm. "That sounds amazing, Sara!" Elvira replied, her voice filled with anticipation. "We'll make it a day to remember."

But as the trio continued their journey through the fields, a sense of unease began to settle in the air.  Closer they ventured into the sprawling expanse of the farmer fields near the border of the dark forest.

The air carried the mingling scents of freshly turned earth and the delicate fragrance of blossoming flowers. The vibrant colors of the crops stretched out before them, a patchwork quilt of greens, yellows, and purples.

Their hands deftly moved through the soil, caressing the tender shoots of young plants. The rich scent of damp earth filled their nostrils, invigorating their senses. The sun's warm caress danced upon their skin, a comforting embrace amidst their labor.

Faint whispers of screams reached their ears, mingling with the distant sound of animals tearing through the undergrowth. Their laughter turned to anxious glances, and a knot formed in the pit of their stomachs.

Suddenly, the once-vibrant fields transformed into a scene of chaos and terror. Elves darted between the crops, their faces contorted in fear as pandars, monstrous creatures with obsidian fur and glowing blue patterns, emerged from the shadows. Heart pounding, Elvira's hand shot out, snatching Daria's arm, her grip tight with urgency. Together, the three girls halted in the tall grass, their bodies hidden from view. The rustle of leaves surrounded them, like a whispered warning from the field itself. They exchanged anxious glances, their breaths held in anticipation.

"Shhh," Daria hissed, her voice barely audible above the rustling. The world around them fell into hushed silence as they strained to hear any signs of danger. The air grew heavy with tension, their hearts pounding in their chests.

And then, as if emerging from the very depths of their nightmares, they heard it—a low, guttural growl. The sound pierced through the air, sending a shiver down their spines. The growl seemed to come from all directions, as if the field itself was alive with unseen predators.

Their gazes darted frantically, searching for any clue as to where the growl had originated. And there, amidst the swaying crops, they spotted Nero, one of their neighbors. He stood frozen in fear, his eyes wide with terror, a silent plea for help etched on his face.

Before they could react, a monstrous pandar burst forth from the shadows, its eyes fixed on Nero. In one swift motion, it pounced, its claws sinking into his flesh. Nero's scream echoed through the field, a harrowing cry that sent shockwaves of horror through Elvira, Daria, and Sara.

Fear gripped them, their instincts urging them to run, to flee from the impending danger. The adrenaline surged through their veins, pushing their bodies to the limits as they made split-second decisions.

Without a moment's hesitation, they veered to the left, their bodies cutting through the tall grass like ghosts. Each step was careful and deliberate, their senses heightened to every sound, every movement around them. They knew the pandars were close, lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike.
